I can't beleive I am saying this, but. Sorry to see you break up like this FE.
I played L2 for couple of weeks. All I am going to say is skill system in EVE owns the one in L2.

Noemie,
I mostly agree with you. If people can pull these stunts off and live with themselves, then more power to them. SO LONG AS it isn't for the purpose of selling it for IRL money on ebay or otherwise - I can't respect that.
The reason why I only "mostly" agree with you and not "entirely" agree with you is that I think there are some very basic deficiencies in the corporation management systems that allow these things to happen when they shouldn't be able to. For example, why isn't there an option to give a 24 or 48 hour request window when one director tries to withdraw stuff from a corporation hangar? The OPTION should be there - of course it doesn't have to be mandatory.
There are other ways that control could be tightened, such as preventing items in certain hangars from leaving the station without a certain amount of time notice or other people's approval . . .
Anyway, but since we are playing with the rules we are given, more power to whoever it was that pulled off the heist. As I said, regarless of how much it actually was, its a ****in game, and in the long run, who cares.

1. Played lineage 2 2. Made a lvl 18 Human mage 3. Realized the entire game was a lvl treadmill toward an obvious endgame (who needs balance when you can jut make a guaranteed *best* set and be done with it?) 4. Went back to Eve. 5. Gave my L2 friends buddy program invites to eve.

- Stopped Eve in August 2003 - Tried Lineage II on 3 different closed betas - Tried Lineage II on 3 different OPEN betas - Killed many monsters for... money and a little XP. - Gotta BORED and being a PK killer (I hate noob killers, so I kill them :P) - Found this game really nice, but too boring (except PvP system I found really as nice as the first Lineage one was). - Reactivated my Eve account and really ENJOY to be back in a game with VARIOUS things to do, with real POLITICS, ECONOMY, COMMUNITY, and developpers with some ideas. Finally, I'm really not ready for Asian MMORPG's.

Haven't had a chance to talk much lately with many friends from Eve as I'm yet another that has been wrapped up in another MMO that shall remain nameless .
We (what used to make up a major part of the F-E leadership) know what has happened and we have a pretty good idea what has happened as well. It isn't near what JM layed out either folks and has been classified NUNYA for the GP.
Is the F-E dead? The F-E as it was known maybe dead but many of it's former members are far from it. More like in hibernation for the time being while one game proves it can sort it's multiple problems out...many of us are content to wait for soon doing something else while soon gets here. (On a personal note many promising things are swirling around for the "next big patch". We'll see if it can be delivered or more soon deadlines are created.)
One thing that I am sad to see is the likes of whom have taken up the vacuum during our hibernation. Eeesh is all I can say and GL new tenants and be wary...the landlords could re-awaken at any moment.

Originally by: Azure Skyclad First off. Hangar theft does stink royally. As far as low down goes, this one is scraping it's belly in the filth.
That said, it just reinforces peoples difficulty in taking so called "Reformed Pirates" seriously. I'd suspect it was at the back of FE's mind that it could happen so i doubt you're all *too* surprised. If it did take you by surprise then it shows a worrying level of naivete on the part of your leadership.
Still, sad to see it happening. Whomever the victim
Same happened to Coalition Navy of CFS, former pirate went pirating again and stole all the equipment he could steal.

killing dogfoxes in L2 is fun, I see no reason not to repeat the process 10,000,000 times over, oh wait..
Its more fun to kill newbs in a forrest nearby a noob town and gain actually _nothing_ over it and then have 24!!!!!!! arses contacting you and asking you if you know how lame you are, how it will break the community and how sad low life you really are...
... i know what u mean fyi ive got 40k karma how mutch o got? :P

Another idiotic post! For some reason people think that if you pirate in EVE you have low morals. It's a game FFS, peoples actions within a game do not define their actions/Beliefs outside a game. Ever played GTA Vice city? YOU DAMN CRIMINAL YOU!

:( Thats what happened to you guys. Thats truely low.
Taking every last dime in a corp is just a way to make people quit. Its truely a low way to go in a game. We want more people in the game and just some decide to ruin it for the people that already are in the game.
Sad very sad. Fear The Bunny

As much as it pleases me to see the horrible brand go I despise traitors like this guy.
As you've said, out of game and ingame morals isn't necessarily the same thing, keep thinking so.
Regardless of the owner of that account make it your business to kill him till the end of time, after all there are legit reasons so it can't be classified as harassment.
It would also send a signal to everyone thinking about eBaying an account buy or sell.

Well, seeing my good friend Vultair being accused of something like this, I just can't sit by and watch this without putting forth some defense of him.
I have played with Vultair since the early days of my EVE time back in the corporation Macrosoft, which has been restarted. This was back in early August. I played with him since then, in macrosoft, then in valkyrie, then for a few days in F-E. He is an honest person. He actually stated many times when i would bring up corp theft that it is low and bad etc etc etc.
Now, I don't know the details, but iirc, he stopped playing in favor of playing DAOC. I don't know what he did with his account, but I do not believe it was the true vultair that perpitrated this crime. "I'm comin' for ya, and Hell's comin' with me!" |

What really peeves me are people who reply to a thread without reading the whole thing.
Deathb!tch, seriously babe, that isn't "what happened to us." If you read just a little further down the page you'd realize that the corp theft happened after Lineage 2 beta opened and 90% of F-E began playing over there fulltime. Moreover, I seriously doubt if anybody other than the O.P. spent more than 5 minutes lamenting about the monopoly money that was "stolen" from the corporation.
1.5 billion isk, if it even was that much, big f'ing deal. Can make that doing less than a week of a corporation mining operation. Yes it is low, blah blah blah, dishonest, crappy, whatever. Even a pain in the ass should we decide to come back to Eve on a permanent basis. Did it ruin F-E? NO. In fact, I would say that Lineage 2 has brought us all together even tighter as a group.
I'd watch out if I were any of you nooblars in RKK sitting pretty in your nice shiny rented station. Just remember you're on leased time and it may be "up" at any moment.

Cao Cao, really dont get frustrated about it. The people that are really interested why a corp would quit or dissapear would have asked directly instead of assuming. Why bother with the others that dont care enough or prefer to reason with unfounded assumptions?
Let them assume as much as they want, and surprise them later.
Still hope FE comes back though, soon

Cao, have you been taking something? FE is totally split in 2 those who play EVE and those who play L2, actually FE is dead.
Those that went to play L2 have demonstrated an infuriating lack of interest in those from their "community" that were left behind.
But i dont expect people to play a game just to please others in the corp.
So things are evolving but there is a bitter taste left.

From personal experience I can tell you that corp. theft sucks, but it makes you stronger. The person responsible is the lowest of the low and heÆll get whatÆs coming to him, one way or another. The label of thief will follow him forever in EVE. Just ask self-proclaimed thief, Agent Shield. IÆm still looking for him every chance I get and I know that he has to be on his toes all the time, because people want to kill him.
Unfortunately, most of the time these thieves get away with it and laugh it up at your expanse. Pitiful, IÆll tell you, but thatÆs how it is. People just need to learn from it and not make the same mistake twice.
In my opinion (this might be a little radical in some peoples view) but if you want access to BP hangers or corp. wallet, as a CEO I would REQUIER to have that persons RL name, address, phone #, email address, IP address and verify it all. This way if they thought of ripping off a corp., they would have to think about what might happen to them if the do. I donÆt mean that people would go hunt them down or anything, but it would be a deterrent.
Sorry for your loss FE. I know how it feels, but hang in there. If there was one thing that sticks out from my whole experience from corp. theft, is how many good people come to your aid and support. Good luck.
P.S. Vultair = KOS
The truth will set you free

Why have corporate property at all? People can work for mutual benefit without having to trust each other.
