Every single claim made on these forums, about ISK being removed just because someone, or someone's friend or cousin sold an item to an ISK buyer has turned out to be blatantly false.
orly? cause im sitting at -1.75bil cause of a guy who bought a moros with isk hey ebayed and it got removed from my wallet
how does that one work?
GM screwing up. petition it and it will (eventually) be refunded. Seriously, we need some kind of separation between the post and signature. |

Please explain? Did the guy transfer isk into your wallet or did you do a official contract or market order? A guy was complaining in jita once and it turned out his mate bought isk and transfered it to his wallet. |

It doesn't. The fact of the matter is we reverse positive transactions to subscribers from ISK sellers. That means that this player would have bought the Moros with illicit ISK, we'd have reversed the transaction between him and the ISK seller. That would leave him still in possession of the Moros and lacking all the ISK he got from the seller and hence leaving him in the negative.
If you'd sell a shuttle for 100 eternibillion ISK to a known ISK seller we'd probably reverse the transaction. You wouldn't really have much of a defense in that case anyways. It is possible the ISK seller would need the shuttle but he'd never waste 100 eternibillions on it as that ISK he sells is his way of feeding his family. However, if you would sell that shuttle to someone who bought ISK illicitly he'd keep the shuttle and we'd reverse the transaction between him and the seller leaving him with your shuttle and a huge wallet deficit.
If you have been victimized: Petition it. If the GMs do not listen we have senior GMs to watch them. If they don't listen you have Internal Affairs. If they don't listen we fail utterly or you're wasting our time and I hope to the gods there are consequences to that. If this process isn't transparent enough you can always tell the community by giving them your full API key which I believe will give them all your wallet transactions. There's a lot of checks and balances in place, we're not perfect but we do our best.

today i lost 4 billion isk to the GM's for "buying isk", i have never bought a single unit of isk in my eve career. However the PREVIOUS owner of my recently bought character clearly had, but as thier (might as say lame) cut and paste petition reply, i get the picture they dont care that they just drove an innocent player to an un-playable position.
Thanks CCP, i appreciate the thanks for my 3 years of dual account business, i even jsut bought a ******* mousemat from you |

Yeah, I know it's a totally new thing here on EVE-O. I'm trying to be a trend-setter.
Edit If you buy a character through the secure process which then gets whammied for the previous owners mistakes. Petition it and your ISK will be restored and the previous owner will be whammied in your place. I believe there's ample precedence for it. |

Yeah, perhaps someone should setup a website that does that, and require people claiming to have "isk stolenz by CCP" to post their wallet logs. |

I believe that Nova's point simply was, we don't remove ISK unless we know you bought it. And believe me, we know what a RMT transaction looks like when we see it.

So, exactly what is going on in all those threads you keep deleting so nobody can see GM Nova & Prism X with their tails between their legs then? Because, disregarding the fanboi ratpack, the threads thus far seem to stack in favour of player innocence than guilt.
Since it's all pretty recent, did any of you stop to think what happened about three weeks ago, some new procedure got introduced maybe?

I presume GM Nova backpeddling like an Olympic Gold winning 100 metre Back Peddler wasn't making it up. But of course, you don't know that, because it got deleted after Prism X started looking like a right knob, again. Prism X is a common trigger, the moment he gets red faced, whooooooooosh! There goes the thread... wave bye bye to it! ZZZZZOOOOOOoooooooooooo........m and it's gone.
In other news, CCP won an award, from some website you've never heard of, for great customer service, and dealing with RMT. Go back to sleep. Nothing to see here. This just in, TQ got faster, there is no lag, POS warfare rocks, Devs says "Soon (tm)" fanbase laughs. More at 10. Here's Tom with the weather.
Sunny skies across most of New Eden tonight, with those threatening storms dissipating way before coming close to leaving Jove space. The Shuttle Shower we've been promised is still definitely on it's way, and the high pressure system around Tritanium shows no sign of abating. Tomorrow promises more sunshine, with sod all chance of precipitation or **** storms. Here's Jenny with sports....
Thank you Tom, well few of you will have seen GM Nova blazing his way to glory in the 100 metre Back Peddle, but for those who did, it's going to be hard to forget.

I reckon it got deleted because the OP started posting petition material. Admittedly I did provoke it but, like Fitfh implied, that's just how I work. People really should know that by now. I really wish the OP would have posted the entire response though, but I can see why he chose not to. But still, if you're going to get yourself into trouble you might as well go the whole nine. Then again, maybe that's just me.
Carry on then.

The things ive been wondering about is what if isk comes to you that you dont want, for example, what if someone buys isk from one of these sellers and sends it to you?
Ofc the isk will get reversed, but sometimes bans are also issued. (havent heard of this happening yet, but its always a possibility)
Or if your account gets hacked and the isk is bought then, and you are banned? (This has actually happened to a friend in game guy went on vacation and while he was away his account got hacked and they bought isk, and got alot of his **** blown up. He comes back to find he cant log on, so petitions that account is hacked, they restore his account to him, but leave the account banned, which imo is stupid.) |
