I'm Morpheus and I started working for CCP around April 2006. My official job title is "Internal Affairs Agent" - try explaining that one to someone who doesn't know a thing about computers. An Icelandic TV reporter once asked me what I did and I ended up saying "I'm an internet cop" on national television, happy days.
On my spare time I enjoy playing video games and listening to music.
Fun fact: I was one of the guys serving our customers pee marinated rotten shark at the 2007 fanfest.

Hi, my name is Atropos, and I'm and addict...
I started working for CCP August '07, after handing out my opinions on EVETV like they were going out of fashion. I work in QA Engineering, making tools to help QA do their job, and it's pretty cool.
I used to be a pirate... well, I suppose I still am, but don't let that trick you into thinking that Devs play the game, I mean, come on, the forums are never wrong
In my spare time I try to work out how I can make money in EVE instead of my traditional approach of hemorrhaging ISK.
Additional fact: I used to live with CCP Mindstar, until his love of pink drove me out.

Hi, my name is Lingorm. I am from Hamilton, New Zealand.
I started working for CCP in March 2006 and moved to Iceland in June 2006.
I head the QA Engineering Team.
I play EVE, Lots. I used to head a major corp but gave that up when I became a Dev. I now agent run, market trade, hunt pirates (and yes that includes CCP Atropos, who works for me. His contract states that he must submit to me killing him once a week so my leet pirate hunting stats look uber) build ships and sell them.
I am best known for proposing to my then girlfriend (now wife, we got married on Feb 29th of this year) on stage at Fanfest 2005.
Other interests ... books ... lots of books. I read lots. Usually Scifi or Fantasy, but Horror and Military History (This was my minor at university). My wife and I have an extensive collection of books.

Hi,
My name is Mindstar and I have been with CCP since July 2007. I work in the QA department, and before coming to CCP played EVE since beta.
I like long walks on the beach, holding hands and podkilling.

Since you are dev now you're not allowed to play on your regular character... can I have your Opux?
I never got an Opux only my wife did. And I am not allowed near it.
I play on my regular character(s) ... I just don't advertise his/her/its/their names.

Hi, my name is Prism X. Born and bred native to this slowly expanding rock in the North Atlantic (That's right! Iceland is growing every year! Thought we were kidding about World DominationÖ?). I started here at CCP around October 16th 2006 as a Junior Database Developer but quickly lost my Junior title once my mentor moved from EVE over to our Core department. I am not a DBA though, that falls under CCP Valars domain.
I am probably best known for: a) Nuking most of your insta-bookmarks. b) Nuking the containers you've forgotten about. c) Nuking the drones / fighters / rookie ships / shuttles you've forgotten about. d) Making Tarminic post in pink during the last FanFest. e) Posting way too much on the forums. f) Creation of the PitÖ on #Eve-Chaos
When I'm not nuing your valuables or bothering you on the forums I'm usually noobing it up in EVE or my computer game flavour of the month (Mostly retro games really. I still play Master of Magic fanaticly for example), prowling some other forums where I can let lose my Forum Warrior, watching english commentaries on Pro/Amateur-Leagues of StarCraft on youtube (although I quit playing a long time ago) or doing some P&P RP. Yes, I'm that White & Nerdy. My only recourse to coolness is that I'm usually drinking beer in the meantime. Oh and I smoke.. that makes me cool, right?
And a fun fact: Seeing as I work on the DB it self you feel all of my mistakes.. and usually hard. So I guess all the flack I get on these forums isn't all that undeserved. ~ Prism X EvE Database Developer Relocating your character to a cozy, secure container since 2006 |

Hello my name is Ginger and i am a nerd.
I started at CCP back in July '06 as a GameMaster, you may remember me from such petitions as "No, you cant have your ship back. But are you interested in my Ginger Breeding program?". I then moved up into content as an Event Co-ordinator in the storyline department, I then moved from that into more gamedesign and storyline work. Now I am the Volunteer Manager for EVE which i attempt to pretend to know what im doing managing ISD, I still work in the storyline dept doing various things because, as you may have guessed, i love it.
Big shout out to the GM Love Machine.

Hi, I'm Mitnal and started working for CCP in November 2007 as one of the new-fangled community representatives.
You may remember me from such classics as *moderated - mother abuse* or *Locked* User request. However, our work is not purely moderating the forums, it also incorporates a little PR, marketing, internal and external communications, press officer and gopher.
In game I've done pretty much everything from market trade, to mission running through to running the gamut of emotions that is surviving in 0.0 space.
I am less cool than Prism X, if that is possible, in my spare time I am generally found reading, plonked in front of the tv watching sport, attempting to play some of them or trying to stop my son electrocuting himself as he loves water and electronics.
On the forums I like to test the built-in irony detector, my current favourite video is this one and I have to battle ccp_navigator for control of the account just to post :( battle for control of account Mitnal, Community Representative

Started working for CCP's QA department late last summer and am absolutely loving it.

Ohi.
My name is Oneiromancer and I'm a workaholic, some of you know me from IRC or the test server. I've started working at CCP in January 2007 as a junior tester in QA and shed "junior" for "senior" after a few months. I'm one of the few gurrl-persons working hands-on on the game (yes, yes, I know, there are no girls on the internetz). I stick my nose mostly in PVE-related stuff, like exploration, missions and so on. In game I've done a bit of everything, except being a pirate (just because my old corp was anti-pirates and now I don't have time to play any more).
In my little spare time I play lots and lots of PC games (RPG's and strategy, mostly), read books (SciFi and fantasy), read comics (mostly Vertigo-like stuff) and take belly dance and tribal dance classes.
I have a series of unhealthy obsessions concerning things like swords, hats, all things steampunk, space dragons and work.
Oh, and Evelgrivion - I fixed your post, you had some spelling mistakes. =P

Mephysto here. Originally from the UK, I moved to Iceland to join the dev team in the summer of 2005, and for about a year prior to that I volunteered as a bughunter. Since then I have moved on from testing and now hold the dubious honour of being the QA deployment group lead and configuration manager. In English; I make sure that my team has the corect builds on the correct servers, and also spend alot of time making sure the only changes going into a patch are those authorised.

Edited by: CCP Dionysus on 24/05/2008 14:56:32 Howdy all.
Ex-patriate aussie (they kicked me out for not drinking enough). I've spent many years practising my drinking in countries like Finland, Russia, Czech Republic until CCP saw fit to allow me to join them in sunny Iceland. I've spent a year as a GM (if you've had trouble with POSes, you probably spoke to me) and spent so much time investigating technical issues that the QA department yoinked me a little while ago. Now I get to bother the devs with my dubious questions of "why _exactly_ does this feature work this way..."
I like getting details right Hope to be of some service.
Oh yes - I like to pew pew and RP a lot.

Or can I borrow a -BoB Standard Issue Batman style "Dev-Lamp"- to beam a whopping great eVe into the forums from this thread??
I would like to draw your attention to the handy timestamp feature that graces the top of every post in a thread. Using this handy information source, you should be able to tell that the last dev response in this thread was on the 26th of May. Barring this one, which I am only making in a probably futile effort to stop others jumping on yet another "zomg the devs have abandoned the forums!!!1!" bandwaggon.

::crickets::
Last time I posted about my vision for EVE on these forums, it met with a response that, using polite terms, accused me of being naive, fanciful and apparently completely out of touch with what every single one of our players wants from this game. Given that nugget of history you will hopefully understand that I am not about to open myself up to another such display of constructive criticism. And as I have mentioned elsewhere today, the future vision of EVE and official statements about it should really come from the Game Design department, of which I am not really a part. So apologies, but the dev bars that will mark that thread will not come from one of my posts.

Hello everyone,
GM Nythanos here. I started here at CCP in March of this year in Atlanta and have played EVE heavily for several years. You may remember me from such petitio replies as "Please tell me where the POS in question is located". I enjoy playing EVE and like to RP, pirate, and carebear now and then (not on the same character). I play videogames heavily, and like listening to rock and heavy/power metal.
This thread had too many blue bars, red's a much nicer color.

To all you people who I have found your SP for you, or tracked down your items to save your alliance, I expect compensation in the form of alcohol at FF. Ist tiem fro mroe bree!
