Maybe check that your windows monitor refresh rate is set to the same as what eve uses in full screen? Happened once to me in the way you describe, turned out monitor was 59Hz and EVE was 60Hz, or vice-versa.

Actually getting the same problem with both of my installations (one Premium and one Eve Classic content). Suddenly went from both clients being able to display Windowed 1920 x 1080 to neither having an option for it.
I have a graphics option for it in my Windows settings and both clients are set to "interval default" which is close as Eve gets to V-sync. No changes in graphics drivers or the like.

i heard from a corpmate, that he also had that problem now. but his problem was that another game setup a user for his windows so he had to log into windows with every reboot instead of open his windows as the admin with out beeing asked to log in. so he deleted that user again in his windows settings and that solved his problem.

* Do you recall any changes made when this started happening? (ie. new hardware, new drivers, installed a new game, new patch for EVE, etc) * Check other programs that are running while you've got EVE open. Try shutting down other programs one at a time to see if perhaps there's a conflict. * Be sure that you've got the proper adapter selected in the graphics options tab. Many new graphics cards will have multiple adapter options for use with multiple monitors. ____________________________ I break things.

Edited by: Mr Spankeh on 17/04/2008 22:02:14 I've got an identical problem to the OP now. Native desktop resolution of the monitor is 1680 x 1050. I have a full choice of fullscreen resolutions but on switching to windowed mode, I can only select 1680 x 1050 with no other options.
I've tried changing the refresh rate from 59 Hz to 60 Hz as suggested but its made no odds.
This is a clean install of Win XP SP2 with a fresh install of eve. Problem remains in either classic or premium graphics. Running a nvidia 9600GT.
Any suggestions?
Edit: I've done a bit more messing about with the gfx tool suite - there is an option within the nvidia tools that is unchecked by default to "allow modes not exposed by the display". Checking this has brought back *some* of the windowed modes previously available but not all of them (i.e. the 1154 x 768 one which I like :| ). Still, it's a start.

To the OP - I'm assuming that you're trying to run in windowed mode at a non-native/supported resolution on an LCD monitor. Well... If you can add a resolution to your display adapter through your graphics card settings, it will appear on the list of available resolutions. If not (most nVidia cards disallow the addition of unsupported resolutions because they can damage your monitor if applications run fullscreen in them) you're screwed as the client doesn't really support windowed mode, it just pretends to.
If you have an old CRT monitor lying around you can plug it in to the second adapter port on your graphics card (if supported) and attempt to add whatever custom resolution you want to THAT adapter (it will show up as a second adapter). But... Then you have to cram your desk with a crappy CRT monitor to get a decent resolution for a windowed version of EVE because programmers are lazy :)
to CCP Tanis - You guys ever going to get around to adding real window support? Not that crappy "I want my overview outside of my window stuff", but you know... Modular resoultions, or at least custom-set resolutions? Your art looks great on my HD monitor, and I pay you for two accounts because you sold them to me with that special deal a few months back. You said I could use them simultaneously. But... Alt-tab is not fun, and I hate having to lose some of my playable screen to keep my taskbar in view.
Please? It' cannot possibly be all that hard to unlock resolutions. It works fine when you can beat an unsupported resolution into the system, but I've run out of working CRT monitors to abuse to fake this, and frankly having to run one CRT monitor in a dual monitor setup, just to be able to play EVE at 1600x900 on my LCD is annoying as all get out.
