I'm trying to get a good artillery fit. I'm not too happy with this fit below but I'm not sure on how to improve it.
Lows:
Overdrive II Power Diagnostic II Power Diagnostic II
Mediums:
YT8- Microwarpdrive Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor Warp Disruptor II Medium Shield Extender II Invulnerability II
Highs:
3 650mm Medium "Scout" Artillery 3 "Arbalest" Heavy Missile
Rigs:
2 Polycarbon rigs
Drones: 3 Hammerhead II 2 Hobgoblin II
I am new to recons so tips on how to fly it would help as well.
Thanks

Medium extender is a waste of a slot. Change the heavy launchers for assaults (your wallet will thank you) and swap the med extender for a large.
I often use aux thruster rigs to bring down the price more... the difference is marginal.

Edited by: RuleoftheBone on 28/03/2008 08:41:11 Not the worst fit....but not very sensible. Have a wander over to the scrapheap-challenege.com boards to find something a little more suitable.
Also think about how you will use the ship. Do you really need the scram? Let someone else tackle while you provide multiple webs/other EWAR.
And finally...if you cannot fit T2 all around you will want to train your skills properly. Using T2 webbers will cut down your ship cost for starters.
p.s. Recon V=40km webs .

So I visited that site. Pretty cool.
I decided to completely get rid of the speed fit and go for a "tank" fit.
Lows: 3 x Power Diagnostic II
Mediums:
10MN Microwarpdrive II 2 x Stasis Web II Warp Disruptor II 2 x Large Shield Extender II
Highs:
3 x 650 Medium Artillery II 3 x Heavy Missile II
Rigs: (must have for PG fit) 2 x Ancillary Current Router I
I'm not sure if this is better than just a cookie cutter AC fit. It goes about 1950 m/s. The idea is to orbit around just on the edge of warp disruptor range and still deal good damage with the arties and heavy missiles. But I'm wondering if I would be more surivable at 15K range with AC going 4k/s? About how fast do you need to go to have a good "speed" tank? Is it better to speed tank the huginn?
I need the warp disruptor because this is going to be a solo/small gang fit.

Huginns do their damage with their missile launchers as artys are too had to fit and ac's dont reach far with good dps. Fitting anything bar a Large shield extender is going to get you killed asap. For solo work fit 2SE's. use the missiles on ur target and use ur ac's and one of ur webs to web and kill his drones if fighting agaisnt a drone boat. Just watch out for neuts they are they death of any buffer setup
