So yeah, I paid for the subscription on my trial account with a credit card, but it hasn't activated yet after 16 hours. Yet on my account management page there's a message that says, "You are subscribed to the EVE Online service. You will be charged automatically at the end of each game time period unless you cancel your subscription". Though on my subscription details page there's no record of me paying and I'm still a trial member.
So am I waiting in some kind of activation line, or did I just screw up somewhere in the payment process?

I've been logging in a lot, and every time I get the pop-up that tells you how many days are left in your trial.

Activation is immeadiate.
Either you payment did not go through, therefore try again.
Or something else went wrong and you will need to file a petition to get it straitened out.
Before retrying payment or filing a petition double check on the My Accounts page when you account will expire. If it is set for a month from now, then everything should be working.
A couple of notes regarding the transition from trial to regular account. The forums might not lift the posting restriction until after you clear your browser cookies.
The distriptions for skills that cannot be trained on a trial account will not change. They will always say that they cannot be trained on a trial account, but if you are on a paid account you will be able to train them if you have the prequist skills.
The other restriction regarding ISK transfers, use of contracts, etc should be lifted immeadiately, but might require you to restart the client if you had it runnning at the time that you made the payment.

Maybe a subscription based activation doesn't flush your remainingtrial days away like a GTC based activation does. In that case your CC shouldn't have been billed yet and will be as soon as your trial ends and your regular subscription begins |

if you paid while you have a few days to go .. you may get the message until then end of the trail but you are on a full account IIRC -- BIG Lottery, BIG Deal, InEve & Portrait Server

I just signed up officially myself and payment was immediate. Off into game I went.
I agree with an above poster that your payment may NOT have gone through properly. Try again and good luck!

Same here, payment was immediate. In your case, I'd first check to make sure I'd not been charged. If I had, then I'd file a petition, otherwise just try paying for it all over again.
