GREAT!
You in UK?
Did you learn over a long period, or did you do intensive course? I hear that intensive courses result in worse drivers longer term....
Are you now gonna drive like a ****, or are you a sensible one? How old are you btw?
Sorry for the 20 questions, but I take driving reasonably seriously as a person who drives for a living, lol.

Im 17, started end of august last year right after my birthday.
Going to drive properly, i enjoy it though.
Going to be driving to 6th form and to work every day, my mate was getting annoyed about being the only one able to drive.

Brilliant stuff - all sounds good.
I remember when my mate passed his test shortly after I did - we took two cars everywhere, him in his and me in mine. We found reasons to go places just for the ride for the first coupla months. Only one or two people in each car at the most hehe. Had some fantastic times in my first little car - I'd say that's where I did a lot of my 'becoming-independant-ness', got out and about on my own a lot.
On my second car now, and I drive buses for a living :-) Also taking my Category C test at the end of this month! My Cat C test is a week's intensive course, but I already have good vehicle handling due to my job so it's not so bad. Got all kinds of books and stuff for theory and highway codes and guide to driving goods vehicles and stuff.
i'd recommend getting the Highway code - they rearranged the rules recently, so they're all in a different order. Everytime I flick through it, i find out something i didn't know or didn't think of before, and having the extra knowledge 1) makes you a better and therefore safer driver, and 2) you can impress your peers by coming out with "actually, if a vehicle is more than 7.5 tonnes MAM it has to have red/yellow warning sign(s) on the back" and then they'll all ask you what 'MAM' is, and you can see where this goes....
Drive safe, see you out on the road!

Jesus, just made me remember passing my driving test, and bike test, the best part of 23 years ago
I used to love driving, but now its more of a chore and bloody expensive.
Gratz and just remember that no matter how careful you are on the road, there are plenty of ******s out there who'll not be.

I passed aged 22, first attempt, 7 minors.
I actually started learning at 18 and quickly reached a standard good enough to take the test, but between university, EVE and being damn lazy, I left it until after graduation. It's not like I needed it up to that point anyway. Public transport 4tw. Train > M6 any day.

Nice one, whats your plans for your first car?
I was nervous waiting for my test examiner to give me the verdict.. He was noting down notes all through the test, then got the verdict of a pass with 2 minors \o/

If you want to really improve your driving sense, start training for your bike licence.
Once you have the bike licence you will know about looking for all the major idiots on the road and plan to avoid them.
But congrats anyways.

I remember pasing my test, sadly the novelty of it wore off very quick and it does become a chore if you end up having to drive your drunk friends about a fair bit. The good thing is the freedome to be able to do what ever you want whenever you want and not being limited by public transport, no this never wears off.
Ohh and i passed with 3 minors :D
Perfection.
