I'm now up to 250 Sell Market Orders at several different locations. It is getting very annoying to try and deal with the orders that are falling in the middle of the list no matter how I order/sort it. After every change, and sometimes randomly, the screen will refresh, moving the pointer to the top of the list again. This is especially annoying at lag holes like Jita (yeah I know....don't go there). How do some of you market mavens out there deal with that? Is there some way of filtering locations displayed? I'm already at 1600x1200 with the market screen going all the way from top to bottom. Thanks for any suggestions! -------------------------------------------- Eve Tools - Alliance Tracker

You are just a whiner. The market order list works just as how it is supposed to. Also people like you whine about everything and never actually play the game!
People who complains about "bugs" are just angry kids that got killed by "pirates"!

You may want to try Eve-Trader. I don't know if you have or not, but it can help you out with all the market data that is updated all the time.
Here's the link to it: Eve-Trader Linkage
Hope this help...

You are either a ****** who doesn't have Tycoon, or a troll.
It takes a long time to work down your orders list and when it suddenly jumps clear back up to the top for no reason it's a pain in the arse.

If you'd ever been in the same system as him, you'd know the answer.

I agree with OP on how taxing it is to work with lists that are big. The same problem persists with bookmarks and folders. Wish we could create a folder within a folder. They need like a floater line or clipboard so that an order or bookmark can be moved easier than trying to find an open space at the bottom of the list. Plus at a certain line, the page refreshes and moves to the bottom of the list so you have to scroll back to where you were last working. A check on cursor point would easily solve that problem.

Edited by: Alz Shado on 29/02/2008 15:45:23 I'm not sure which market list bug the OP is complaining about, so let me see if I can clarify:
1) In the WALLET window, when switching between the ORDERS tab and another tab, the current position in the BUY and SELL lists get reset to the top of the list. It does remember the position because the window briefly shows the correct place. However, it resets to the top within 3-5 seconds.
2) In the MARKET window, after scrolling down a bit in the BUY or SELL list, when the window refreshes (every 10-15 seconds) the position is reset to the top of the list. This is very frustrating when you're trying to buy an item in a particular station and the list is sorted by price, so that you need to scroll down a bunch of orders before you see anything in the station you're interested in. If you don't finish your search before the window refreshes, you have to scroll all the way back down again.
3) In the MARKET Window, GROUP Tab, the position of the scroll gets reset to the top of the list when the window refreshes (every 10-15 seconds). Especially annoying when you're trying to read the descriptions (eg. you don't remember which type of ammo does what type of damage)
4) In the WALLET window ORDERS tab, when using the RIGHT-CLICK to open a context menu for items in the BUY ORDERS or SELL ORDERS list, if the window refreshes before the context menu displays the options will not function if/when the window does eventually appear.
5) In the WALLET window ORDERS tab, sorting by multiple columns by assigning a primary (eg, Sorting by Stations first, then alphabetically by item) doesn't always work or works intermittently. Difficult to describe since it's random behavior gives no real pattern to give an adequate bug report on.
6) In the WALLET tab, when buying a stack of items and using the scroll wheel to increase the quantity, if you go past the maximum number available it changes from an integer to a decimal (eg, 5 items on sale will scroll 1-2-3-4-5-5.0). At 5.0 the order shows a quantity of zero. Scrolling back down goes to the number before (5.0->4) then scrolling up once takes you back to the max (4->5). Unless..
7) ... when using the scrollwheel to advance a quantity/price, if the window refreshes causing a delay, the number is advanced by hundreds or thousands of places eg, 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> (delay) -> 106

Is this like the People and Places bug where renaming a bookmark sends you clear to the bottom of the list?
Cause I decided to change the naming convention of my bookmarks one day... and oh god, was that an ordeal.

I really wasn't trying to whine per say. Just wondering what others had done to deal with issues I had just begun to encounter as I am new to this level of orders. The problem is tolerable when I'm at Amarr or Rens as they are at the top or bottom of the list so the order that I alter will shift to the bottom of the list. It's places like Jita that are in the middle of the list alphabetically that are the pain for the reasons mentioned by Alz Shado. Eve Trader, at quick glance, appears to be similiar to Eve Central Markets as it relies on player submissions. Obviously there is no way to alter orders, which is the only process I'm interested in currently. -------------------------------------------- Eve Tools - Alliance Tracker

I hate this one it's really annoying and it happens about every time you adjust a price. The mousewheel should move your price to the best position +- .01 on the first bump.

In my more cynical moments, I sometimes think that it's a stealth nerf to .01 undercutters, just like I think the max-value-decimal could be a fix against macroers.
Then I shake my head and realize it's just CCP not getting things to work right, and lag.

Market lag has been really bad this morning, which I wasn't expecting with a lower Traq population.
Then again, there was a very high number of traffic advisaries too, so I wonder if there wasn't something going on behind the scenes.

Edited by: Conscious on 13/03/2008 18:43:16 Sorry to say that although the market UI got some love, the feature of being able to filter the sell orders by location was sadly bypassed. I haven't had the opportunity to test yet, but I'm hoping that the "flicker/pause, reset to the top of your list every 10 seconds" issue has been addressed? Has anyone had the opportunity to test this??
