Hi there fellow CEOs, My corp has a large collection of blueprints that are rarely used, and I want to make them available for ordinary members to use. I found a way to do this, but it's not very satisfactory, and I wonder if there's a better way. Since I've never found any kind of out-of-game guide to CEO controls, I'm asking here.
What I do now is: give all members the roles Factory Manager and Rent Factory Slot, and give them access to a nearly empty wallet called Petty Cash. To make jobs, they drop minerals into our freeshare hangar, drop a few thousand ISK into Petty Cash, and run the job on corp blueprints as if they were manufacturing for the corp.
This has the potential to be a problem in the future. For one thing, as Factory Managers any corp member can deliver or cancel another's jobs. Second it's a bit annoying to have to explain the process to each new member. Is there any way to let people use corp blueprints (which are in a view-only hangar) be used by members for their private manufacturing jobs?

Hi Joe,
My corporation has of course this same problem, and we have solved this by having made a group of builders who are trusted enough to get more roles to access the needed things and use an alt to build for our members.
Other then that I so no solution to this, and therefore I second your idea ;) Enjoy the game.

Tbh for a game where they would like us to do more together, there are very few ways for a corp to let members do certain things without the risk of getting robbed down to your underwear.
Mebbe it is time that ccp had a look at this for a future patch. _______________________________________________________ CCP, let us pay the online shop with Direct Debit!!!

Assuming you have your BPO's locked down. then assign the members proper roles, dont need to give them factory manager.. and then u have a "Supplies and Minerals Hangar" and then u have a " Delivered Jobs Hangar ", And what you do is, only few people have access to Deliveries, like you and ur directors and trusted builders. Now the supplies hangar u keep clear, but if someone wants to build they drop there minerals into the hangar and voila ;)

If you really think about it, a corporation is its own entity. From the game design standpoint, things placed in a corporate hangar are given to the corporation. They don't belong to any one player once they're placed in the corp's hangar.
A corporation, like my own, can give free access to certain divisions of the corporate hangar. This is, in effect, saying that the corporation allows all of its employees to use anything in these divisions of the hangar, but for such time as these items are in the corporate hangar, they belong to the corporation. Ships insured while in a corporation hangar are insured by the corporate wallet and thus belong to the corporation until such time as they are destroyed or the insurance contract, which attests to ownership, runs out.
Blueprints placed in a corporate hangar are given to the corp, owned by the corp. Anything produced from these blueprints is also, then, owned by the corporation and upon production is delivered to a corporate hangar division.
The only way you could allow your corporation's employees to benefit from blueprints of the same level of ME/PE research as the blueprints in your corporate hangar would be to make copies of these blueprints and distribute them to the employees that wish to use them for personal manufacturing via the option "Deliver to > Member Hangar > Character Name". If the blueprints in question are themselves copies this would not be possible. There is at this time no element in the corporation management interface that facilitates 100% secure personal use of corporation assets.

Not to argue with you, but if I understand the OP correctly, he's looking for a way to give all of his people free access to be able to use the blueprints. Locking them down is certain a step in the right direction, but having the deliveries hangar be accessible to only a trusted few within the corporation seems to defeat the objective if your corporation's average recruit isn't able to receive their product without waiting for a director to deliver it to them.

It's just that I noticed in the Science and Industry window, far right tab I think, there's a filter for "usable by members" or some such (I'm not logged in now, can't check.) So I was wondering, maybe there's a way to make BPOs usable by members for private jobs.
