Edited by: Memkani on 29/01/2008 15:33:24 The problem is the first requirement states you had to have been playing Eve for minimum of 4 months. Considering the fact that the Mac and Linux clients were released less than 4 months ago it will be a little hard recruiting them.

We want people with experience on both clients. It is very important to have the ability to say "Hey, this is not a Mac-specific issue" or "This is just for the Mac".

More applications! Being a bug hunter is fun! And just like CCP Whisper said:
Quote: Participation in the ISD Bughunters team can provide you with valuable experience directly related to QA and testing procedures in the IT/Games industry while at the same time being part of a great team of people who actually manage to have a lot of fun while helping improve the game.

I meet the requirements with the exception of the 4 months of experience. I predominately use the Mac client, but also play via Windows when the Mac is acting up. I've also got the system to install the linux client on, so could test both Mac and Linux.
Is the 4 months experience a hard requirement, or is there some room around that ... or should I just wait another 2 months before applying?

I suggest that you apply. It can't hurt. Your ingame experience is only one of the many things we take into account when we review your application. If you do not meet the 4 months of playing the game requirement, then give us a reason or two why you think you would still fit as a bug hunter.

Good day,
I was a long time player on PC but stopped due to time constraint and the inability to play on Mac. I recently heard EVE had a Mac version so I reopened my account. I just applied to be a bug hunter because I've already found a few bugs on Mac!
But, when I applied I didn't see any options for OS or Mac. Did I miss something?
Thanks. Moot Point

Q: I can't find any Mac/Linux specific section that fit me. Where do I tell you that I'm a Mac or Linux volunteer?
A: "Please stipulate in question 15 (Explain why you want to participate in the EVE volunteer program) that you are a mac/linux user. This will help us with the application process and ensure that you are considered for a place in the group of volunteers that will be testing these platforms."

I applied a couple of weeks ago and received an e-mail saying you did not need anymore mac beta testers??
Is that correct or is this forum thread correct? I would like to help.
