Edited by: Rakeris on 27/01/2008 18:45:54 Well, might as well give the story on it. Some friends of mine went to a really old graveyard near where I live one night. They (two of them) swore up and down there where these glowing things you could see floating around. I was kinda skeptical understandably. But after a while, they convinced me and my brother to go out there. So we drove out there and saw them. They where kinda faint glowing balls, that just came and went, it was rather odd. Only saw a couple, and we where like lets try to get some pictures...
So we went over to one of my friends moms house (who does weird stuff like this) and borrowed her very nice camera. Took some pictures and saw some very creepy things. Some of the stuff I saw, I simply can't explain. I was honestly scared ****less as we drove back home, considering our flash lights stopped working and our camera stopped taking pictures...both started working after we got a ways away.
Anyhow, here are some of the pictures. These where all taken within seconds of each other, except for a couple.
Guest pass is "enter". Unedited: http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a207/Rakeris/Creepy/
Edited: I used lightroom to up the brightness and contrast a bit to make the "stuff" show up better. http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a207/Rakeris/Creepy/Creepy%20Edited/
The pictures really don't show much, as some of the things would show up after you took a picture and stay visible for a number of second later, you could make out a lot more than in the picures as well. You could also see them move and what-not creepy as hell. Take it as you will. But I believe in ghosts now. XD
Tragically I don't have a pro account at photobucket so all the pictures are not their full size. (1600x1200) ----------

Edited by: Gyfrex on 27/01/2008 18:47:50 No idea about any of that to be fair, I'm not a believer of ghosts etc..and even if I was, no reason to be scared because remember "if it can hurt you, you can hurt it" ---

Probably swamp gas from a weather balloon that was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

What ghosts are you seeing? The 'green flashing lights' are fire flies. Every year that would go crazy behind my house near the creek. The dust colored 'orbs' are just dust in the air, or other debris that is reflecting the flash back at the camera.
What else besides those two things am I missing?

Edited by: Rakeris on 27/01/2008 19:21:33 Well first off, not many insects around when it's 10 degrees outside, and there is 15 inches of frost in the ground. So your not going to get much dust though the snow/ice. There where no other light other than the flash from the camera. The car was off, as where the lights, and there are no houses around. There was no moon, and it was crystal clear outside.
Like I said, the pictures don't show much. ----------

I once slept in a graveyard in Vevey, Switzerland. It was near the grave of Charles Chaplain, the famous comedian. Wasnt too creepy. Was really peaceful.

Edited by: MeeKai on 27/01/2008 19:30:32 I have a keen interest in things paranormal, don't get me wrong, but I approach everything very skeptically. If the most likely answer for something whose back end glows green is from the insect kingdom, its most likely that instead of anything else. Now, what else was there? Oh, and the 'orbs' that appear when you use a flash on a camera on common, you can see them in tons of photographs.

Yeah, the first think I was thinking was dust, but the odd thing is, why would we get a lot in one picture and none/very little in another, looking in a similar direction 2 seconds apart?
Like I said on insects, how many insect are around when it's been well below freezing for months? (and still is)
In the end I don't really know what is in the photos, saw some very weird stuff though. I'm leaning toward swamp gas, nearest swap is...long ass ways away, but that stuff migrates, right? ----------

Uhmmm.... I don't think there is anything too supernatural about your photographs. Sure, a graveyard may be considered a scary place because there are a few hundred bodies buried about 12ft under the ground you walk on, but have you ever considered that spirits/ghosts/whatever you want to call them (if they exist) are more likely to haunt the places that they knew in life, like where they lived/married/died/were murdered/familliar/etc?
I've camped next to a graveyard as somebody above has also done, and to my recollection there were no freaky-deaky voo-doo going-ons at all during the night...
My thoughts - dampness in the air, dirty camera lense, etc, but I think this probably boils down to what you want to believe, we could be here all day arguing this....
