I see the world changing around me...
ELORE/SOLITUDE - 01.09.110; It is my duty as Executor of the Acheron Federation to inform the public that as of this evening, the Acheron Federation will cease it's operation as a CONCORD sanctioned Alliance, and the member corporations will return to individual operations for the time being.
Phoenix Wing and Strix Armaments and Defence will maintain home bases in the Solitude region, and continue work to improve living conditions in the area as allies, but without the limitations on individual freedom and policies caused by the official alliance structure. As for the future plans of TAKAGI Corp. I have little information and cannot give any answers.
I would like to extend thanks and respect to the corporations we have worked alingside for the last months, and wish them all a prosperous year ahead.
Information regarding changes directly concerning Phoenix Wing corporation will be coming during the day.
That is all. TK ---

It has been our pleasure and an honour to fly as Acheron Federation alongside Phoenix Wing. We look forward to many more joint operations, and continuing to work closely with them, as we also look forward to the new opportunities that this move will open up for both corporations.
As indicated by TK, Strix Armaments and Defence has no plans to move away from Solitude. We have made our home here, and our goals remain unchanged. We will continue to work closely with other like-minded corporations and alliances in the region to make it a better place to live and work.
Our thanks and our best wishes to all who contributed to Acheron Federation. It promises to be an interesting year!

TAKAGI Corp learnt a lot from the professionalism and courage of Phoenix Wing and Strix Armaments pilots. It was an honor to fly under the same banner, it will be a continuing honor to keep flying alongside.
TAKAGI Corp will keep running its duties, wich are detecting threats against the Federation and act against them, to the extent of its capabilities.
On a personal note, I wish to thank sirs Thuul'Khalat and Tyr Cloudstone for all the work they put in the Acheron Federation and the resulting increase of the overall security in the Solitude region.

Had I not been currently confined in only my pod in deep hostile territory with 15 jumps to closest friendly ship I'd shoot a salute for a good opponent.
Good luck on your future endeavours Acheron Federation and lets both pray these paths do not cross unhappily with ours.

This is really too bad, but I suppose it means future war declaration costs won't be so high. I hope your corporations continue to grow. After all, enemies are just as important to have as friends.

Darn ... bad news indeed! Just want to say tha' me's always looked up to Acheron Federation. An alliance which felt very close, even when they were in Solitude and Cyrene Initiative in and around Sinq Laison, we could still rely on their assistance. Me hopes tha' in them future them relation and cooperation with all involved corporations will remain as good as it were.

Sorry to disappoint, Sakura, but we aren't going away. Just operating a bit more independently within each corp that was part of the Acheron Federation alliance. But our aims, goals and principles remain the same, so... who knows? Our paths may cross again at some point. Not something we'll go out of our way to seek, as Stimulus are damn tough in combat, but we won't go out of our way to avoid it either, if our support for the Federation and our friends and allies requires it of us.
My regards to you and your wingmates...

Bruno, you are the best of us all, and it has been an honour to know you, and to be associated with you, both in and out of Acheron. You will be sorely missed by many, including myself. Fare well, my friend.

Oh, I'm quite aware you're not dissolving your individual corps. But, as individual entities, you are far more vulnerable.

It's nice to see an organisation dedicated to furthering the Federation's cause collapse.
Furthermore it's amusing. Hopefully the Federation won't be that far behind you. If funding for the Navy and most of the social services keeps on the same path, Even the Serpentis might have a shot at an invasion.
It's not been that long since I saw Serpentis capsuleers in patrolled space unmolested.
Amusing, and entertaining both in one.

We neither crumbled or became less, but more of what we should become. My comments are my own and arent neccesarily anything to do with my corp.

Oh my word, Mr. Ixiris!
Why issue your venom on me? Have those devils that sit in the seats of power paid you extra ISK to defend them?
I believe in the future of the Gallente and Intaki people; a future when they are released from the bondage that the Federation keeps them in.

The individual desires judgment. Without that desire, the cohesion of groups is impossible, and so is civilization. The human being created civilization not because of willingness but of a need to be assimilated into higher orders of structure and meaning. Anarchy is in theory a brilliant idea, as it frees the invidual from the tyranny of minorities OR majorities, but it places too much faith in the ability of mankind to live in harmony without the fear of punishment. Man is an inherently imperfect being - terrorist conglomerates such as the Sansha's Nation, Serpentis, the Angel Cartel and the Amarr Empire are proof of this. Man is a being with inherent negative qualities. The mark of the educated man is the suppression of these qualities in favor of better ones. The same is true of civilization.
The form of a government (the logical extension of the need for order and organisation) can of course be better or worse. The Amarr Empire (a despotic and authoritarian society - a prime example of the tyranny of a minority) is excellent proof that a system organized around the weakest qualities of individuals will produce these same qualities in its leaders.
In attempting to free the individual from the tyranny of a minority, the Gallente Federation has of course subjected itself to the danger of falling under the tyranny of the majority, in which a popular viewpoint can supress those that are less popular, but even as I recognise the imperfections inherent to a representative democracy I realise that in a choice between the imperfect government of the Amarr, the imperfect government of the Gallente and no government, I would always choose the government of the Gallente.
It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others that have been tried. Gallente society is not and in all fairness can never be perfect but I recognise that it gives the people at least some choice over who rules it, and thus allows the body politic to, if not exemplify the best qualities of humanity in its leaders, to restrict their flaws. Of course, this is done through the lens of each individual's perspectives, but it provides a better solution than the petty, antihuman despotism of Amarr.
Anarchy, as I have said, is a nice theory. But it is not couched upon a realistic view of human nature. ----- "I am prepared to meet my maker; whether my maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter." |
