Hi to all, I was messing around with fuel calculations and it turns out that stats on towers are a bit out of whack. So far IÆve tested small POS, and results are as follows; 38/hr for LO and HW is wrong, in actuality it consumes 40.7 of Liquid Ozone per hour and 38.3 of Heavy Water. Of course it still not perfect on the money, about an hour plus or minus.
I wonder if Medium and Large towers have the same misleading stats.

Edited by: Pies on 06/01/2008 11:33:10 The fuel requirements listed for Liquid Ozone and Heavy Water are the correct amount for a fully fitted POS (eg 100% CPU and 100% grid consumption).
When you are not using all of your grid and CPU, the fuel needed will be less than listed on the pos.
There are loads of free tools and spreadsheets out there that will calculate exactly how much of the two fuel will be required when you enter you pos fittings into them.
Edit: Typo

Okay thanks man, you are an idiot, and missing the point, I am more interested in ôhow & whyöà in any case
This is how I came up with my result. I assume that fuel amount consumed by the grid is constant soà 1) 38 / 937,500 = X (amount of fuel consumed by POS per 1 grid unit in 1 hour) 2) small lab 100,000 * 3 (3labs) = 300,000 power used by the labs 3) 300,000 * X (amount of fuel consumed by 1 grid unit) = wrong
Now if at 100% POS consumes 38/hr and at 10% it consumes more fuel per hour?... what gives?

POS's don't consume fractions of a unit of fuel... even if they were bugged :o They would still consume whole units of fuel.

Is there a reason you post on the forums if you clearly don't want to communicate with people ?

Yes im blatently an idiot. So tell me, why didnt you just download one of the many spreadsheets devoted to pos fuel and look for your self how its calculated?

With this attitude, why is it you think people should try to answer your questions?
