The situation with macro/sweatshop haulers in lowsec is going out of control. Look at Domain lowsec systems (Mamet for example). With local 30 there are over 20 sweatshop haulers who farm lvl4 missions. Just sit at gate and watch how they run here and there. Names like jedidahs elmarg jiatianxia etc.. And the amount of those sweatshop haulers is increasing from day to day.
So, if they do it then it worth it. It worth even with camps and constant kills of those haulers. I'm 99% sure that isk from this farming is going to isk seller.
The solution is not very difficult. Just decrease the agent reward for those missions and increase reward for the same amount for combat missions.
I'm sure it will hit isk sellers hard.

get ready for the whine train. i was camping out and killing them (sweat shop hauler) after war dec went through to help the problem. I did a thread about corp hopping why it should be limited so that once you join a corp you should have a cool down before you can jump right into a new one.
You aare going to hear that this wrong. well i am going to step off the soap box before i really get started.
Jov and hevrice is a big hub for them. There is 10 lvl 4 ql 20 storage agent in system. 7 in one station and 3 in another station. Beware they are now stabing up to get through gate camps and even letting you kill a shuttle to bring a hauler pass.
They even did the trick about jetting shuttles out on the gate and GM deleted them and they put more out....any thing happen NOPE.
Hope you get your wish...
C Black.....mission invading in OICHIYA now.

Usually i try not to let it get to me, but i've been reading a lot about increased sweatshopping and macroing activity lately.
I still believe ccp is doing something about it, but i just wish they atleast gave us a few updates once in a while so people realize they are doing something about it cuz atm i think most people have the feeling that ccp just doesn't care as long as those macroers/sweatshoppers pay their sub.
I wish that economics guy that gave those blogs would do one about the influence of macroers/sweatshoppers in eve. CCP, let us pay the online shop with Direct Debit!!! Magners is now recruiting, evemail me or Dagazbo ingame.

Would that help if they decreased the reward? One of two things would happen. They'd keep grinding right along, but make less money OR they'd switch to something else.
Besides, as long as they aren't macroing this, what they are doing isn't against the rules. Until they sell the cash online anyway.
Can they do this via a macro? I know people figured out how to mine using macros, but this would seem a bit more complex. Systems are picked semi-randomly for stops, and it would be much harder to script something like that. Not impossible, to be sure, but hard enough that I'd think they'd keep to macro-mining long before they started macroing missions. Adapt more, whine less. |

Another "lets blindly hurt everyone to catch a few macros"-thread?
Why not remove all ISK from all missions? Surely that would stop macros forever!
Of course, you might lose a few legit players, but you don't care do you? |

Right. This is just as bad as those people who want to punish RL criminals. They'd rather see everyone executed or jailed for life than let some jaywalker go unpunished.

Courier missions are already seriously gimped... While the fact that you can run most of the level threes in a shuttle is the primary reason it still seems rather odd that having worked up enough standing to get level 3 agents with a corporation one can be payed as little as 25,000 ISK for a successful mission... and with standing gains being as bad it takes a lot of work to build beyond level 3 on courier missions alone... --

I think, also most suicide gankers are professional ISK sellers. Therefore nerf the possibility to transport any stuff more worth than 1 Mil ISK.
I'm sure it will hit suicide ganking ISK sellers hard.

How can this possibly be profitable for them?
1) Courier missions do not pay much at all in any terms. Not reward. Not LP. No loot/salvage. No bounties. Standing gain is crap.
2) If in a low sec system and they get popped they should be failing the mission. Do that enough and you cannot access that high level agent.
3) Replacing haulers, while relatively cheap, is more expensive than anything you make from the mission.
If these guys regularly get killed left and right I fail to see how they make any cash unless they are just out lasting the gankers. Even then, while a given ganker may get bored there should be enough to harass them near endlessly.

It's been said before, if you rebalance rewards to make combat missions more profitable per hour invested, that's what they'll do. The ISK farmers would shrug, accept a brief nerf to their income whilst retraining, then switch over.
This is their job. They won't leave the game so long as enough folks are paying them for ISK. Clearly, plenty of players still are.

You really need to go there (southern Domain) and see it for yourself. They are running these mission with several dozen accounts at once all day every day. You would need to invest a considerable amount of time and sec status popping them in order to really make any sort of dent. The problem with that approach though is the CVA and other local corps will start sending fleets to destroy anyone blockading the gates. I'm not saying they're actively defending macros as their stance has always been to ensure that low sec Domain is a relatively safe area for everyone, something they've been doing long before macroing got to the point it is today. Unfortunately this provides a safe haven for the macroers in the process.

Raise the collateral. That way when other players do kill them, they loose more than a ****ty hauler.....

The multi L4Q20 agent stations with courier divisions are worth a lot because you can often combine many missions at the same time from different agents. I ran courier missions for some time at such a station (four L4Q20 agents in Distribution division) and it also was a macro hauler place (with an increasing number of 23/7 macroers, up to 30 or 40 characters over the time). Yes, they were often killed at the gates but it didn't really change anything to procede with their habit like a machine, so I think they considered it as profitable nevertheless. I don't know if they are still there.

If the gatecampers would show a little discretion in their blasting of everything at the gates, I'm pretty sure they'd ease off that hard line. Unfortunately, you crusading types blast the macroers, sure, but then you start into the neutrals actually playing the game that CVA & company like to host, and stuff happens.
The sentiment is nice, but the execution is sloppy, and masks nothing more than a desire for more killboard padding pewpew in someone's back yard.
