There's too many annoying little bugs in the interface, and with the ships, the sound and the graphics. I'm sick of it now, I'm sure many are. I only have a 2 month old character so letting go is easy. I feel really sorry for the people who have been waiting years for things to egt fixed, only to have more things broken. Oh well, see ya later suckers.

Maybe if 3000 of us quit until things were fixed they would do something about it.
Even then I doubt it, the left hand doesn't even know what the right hand is doing up there.
The accounting guys probably wouldn't notify anybody important that 3000 subscribers just left in protest, so nothing would happen.

Agreed, Eve has been going downhill for the last 2 years or so, it's not going to die a bad death anytime soon, but they appear to be working on more "fluffy fluffy don't your ferox look so sexy now" rather then the "well it did but I got WTFBBQd while I was loading the grid"

Also alot of you are TO LAZY or NEVER turn in bug reports about the issues.

I filed three last week.
Forgive me for not wanting to be CCP's QA team. They're not paying me to find bugs for them. In fact, I'm paying THEM to play the game. Why should I do their QA too? -- Support fixing the EVE UI | Suggest Jita fixes

Most of them are not nooks and crannies. They're basic problems that many users experience daily. Some just by logging in. And a great deal of them are platform and computer independent. (look at feature, strobing, cpu utilization issues) -- Support fixing the EVE UI | Suggest Jita fixes

Edited by: Horny Dog on 30/12/2007 22:36:38 It would take 30,000 players to suspend our accounts to get them to maybe fix this game. CCP only cares about what money they can make.I bet if players did suspend their accounts they would just throw it out and start another game because its to complicated for them to figure this one out. I myself would be willing to suspend my accounts and I have for months in the past and looks like I will have to again. If you noticed they changed how you get charged per month. I tried to suspend my accounts after expansion, I even got a confirmation from ccp websight saying so. I logged back in a few days later to make sure they were and ccp had charged me again despite what i asked.I even noticed where if you change payment info they will charge you one month automatically. I guess they new this was going to happen so they are trying to squeeze what money they can from the players. Just goes to show that money is the factor here not the players. As long as they get their money they can care less about us players.

Okay then, name 5 specific bugs that you're experiencing which can be consider as "basic problems" and everyone can say whether they have them or not. Also if they believe that they are annoying or "game-breaking". ------

From what I understand bug reports come in, they give it to the bug hunters where are nice sampeling of eves population, they turn in thier reports of reproductivity of the bug, alot of the times they fail at this because the bug report was incomplete or its a clinet only issue.
If the bug is able to be replicated multiple times and succesfully on demand then they can carefully eye the code during the replication steps to see where it goofballed.
The team probably then compiles a list of possible fixes and submits them to the code monkeys to try it out. Code monkey code the fixes and have internal testing, some bugs that get fixed may cause more lag or break more things, those fixes are usually not allowed to make it to sisi so its back on the drawing board. Also they have to goto the other devs to make sure that certain bugs ARE bugs instead of intended features and not all devs think alike im sure there is one who viewed an issues as a feature as the other a bug, very similar to those complaining about certain aspects of the game and the other half telling them to get over it.
Now imangine trying to do this for about 2k poorly documented bugs?
Also its the holidays im sure the offices are quite vacant as the beer kegs are demanding emptying.

tbh i've experienced no game breaking bugs recently and CCP even fixed the exploration/anomaly bug.....admittedly i'm not in a big alliance in 0.0 somewhere but what are these huge game-destroying bugs? -------------------------------------------------- brakespear - the lowest common denominator |

This because seriously alot of these bugs players are complainging about dont pretain or never occur for me. Ive know a few pilots who have no problems with the allaince capitolship stuff while others have it.

Game breaking bugs? Where? I haven't seen any recently (well, other than boot.ini, but that's fixed, over with, and didn't affect me anyways.)

Well CCP patched emergency items and fixed as many bugs as they could find easily before the holidays.
Right now lets face it they are are all on vacation or passed out drunk.
So figure next week they start sorting and another week to try and find the bugs in the code and a week to fix soooo.
3 weeks till we see any patches ? maybe sooner. But complaining right now I bet is just falling on deaf or drunk ears :)

anymore. There's a certain level of "quality" I've come to expect with Eve so it doesn't
bother me any more
