Try the suggestion in the sticky regarding ports. Worked for me, but I'm on ADSL.

That used to happen, but it settled down. (but by used to I mean a couple of months ago when they only just took over)

1.Class actions don't really exist under UK law. 2.Virgin have no case to answer. Read their T&C. 3.Just find a better ISP.

Also, sometimes I'll lose routing to tranq for about five minutes (all clients lose connection, but other internet works fine).
Bah. I blame the NTL part, was great when they were Telewest.

Lol i just noticed im with virgin media, cable and wireless then NTL then virgin media...can't keep up

Im on virgin(ntl) cable and have had no problems related to playing eve, you may want to check this page out though as I know they have had alot of outages of their cable networks and your problems maybe related to one them depending on where you live.

Do as the man says, check the status page, Cable Cable (NOT ADSL) seems to just work, possible hiccups on sunday evenings when they mess about with their settings but apart from that usually stable!
