Yup, was definitely 1074
I upgraded it prior to going in - but just to make sure I re-entered and checked the version number on the login (which was 1074)
No errors during upgrade btw...
Cheers
Maybe it needs a cache clear?
At work at the moment so I will upgrade again to 1076 (or latest) when I get in tonight (~ 19:00 GMT), but it was definitely 1074 last night when I tested it..

As of 1076 I cannot see the edit security level tab at all. just roles, grantable roles, shares, title. ------------------------------------------- If you kill them, they will die!

There is no "edit security level tab", the sec groups are just roles as anything else.

I saw roles and grantable roles tab in 1074, but it didn't "look" any different to say 1058 from memory.
In 1072 there was a drop down field for assigning the sec level - this was missing in 1074 when I looked at it.
From memory (as in I can't guarantee they bear any resemblance to the wording on screen) the roles I saw were:
- can do anthing like CEO - accountant - factory manager - station manager - auditor
None of the above appear to bear any relationship to the sec group 1-5 assignment, so I assumed it was missing/ absent.
As I said - correct me if I'm wrong. What should we expect to see in relation to the new sec grouping hangars...
Cheers

Eldariel: Here is basicly how it should look (and looks at my side http://www.simnet.is/qeysus/secrole.jpg this comes up in Corp-management/members/edit-member. Does this look different on your side?

I am 100% sure (well, higher in fact) that :
a) My patch was at 1074 when I tested it, and I had no errors reported during the patch process
b) The screen posted above was *not* what I saw in the 1074 build
I will check 1076 when I get back from work
Is there any way it could be cache related?
Cheers

Are you the CEO of the corp? If you're not perhaps the CEO has not yet given you the grantable roles for the security levels (they need to be dished out seperately). Is this a possability?

I have full CEO rights, but am not the CEO...
I just checked the patch version again prior to upgrading - it was definitely 1074 I tested last night.
I can see the security group roles in the roles/ grantable roles tab now (1076) - this is different to what I saw last night with 1074 as I explained previously. I actually spent about 10 minutes looking for where to assign the roles with 1074 and looked at those tabs a lot - so not something I would have missed given that it is obvious...
Strange...

OK looks good..
1st couple of bugs: - assigned all roles *except* sec clearance group to alt. Tried to use factory but it doesn't recognise the fact that I have factory manager role - wouldn't let me use the factory (research labs looked OK) - assigned all grantable roles to alt, but opening corp members window it still showed "view member details" as opposed to edit member (i.e. couldn't assign any roles). My main with CEO rights is fine... - if one of the hangar window is open when you log out, when you log back in it loads correctly initially but then switches to a single tab view with no contents
OK #2 above I have just checked again - something wierd going on there. I just quit the corp and rejoined, assigned all grantable roles and on this occasion it did generate a roles tab in each member profile in which I could assign roles...

Ignore #2 - looks OK (i just tried running through activating/ deactivating grantable roles a couple of times and it worked as intended)..
Text is "view member details" but I was able to change the role assignments. Oddly enough I'm sure I checked a couple of members i should have been able to edit on the first pass (i.e. before resigning/ rejoining) and it didn't appear to be there - might be worth running through it once with a pre-existing corp member to confirm its OK in this context

Looks like only the CEO or equivalent can use factory slots atm.... assigned all roles and grantable roles to my alt and it still wouldn't let me use the factory

please please please make them user definable tabs so that hangar accounts can reflects what ever is needed on the corp side.
this will then streamline the structure to a easily definable and obvious nature.
id agreee the money accoutns must mimic the hangar accounts as it will give corp management a much easier job to stay solvent and spy free
The Obsidian, after eons in deep space,so black that even light refuses to reflect from it,has returned.

I really like the changes made so far.
I would like to see the tabs editable though.
The real problems I see with the direction you are going is 2 fold.
First is that you have tied 2 elements to 1 role. Another words, a person has to grant the ability to take funds out of the corp wallet in order for them to be able to get things out of the Market hanger. Also the same with the factory tab. I would recommend that all of these elements be seperated. I would like to have the option of a member being able to see whats in the hanger, see and get things from a hanger, and use items in a hanger. In a factory roll, why does anyone need to see in the hanger or get things out of the hanger just to manufacture somthing. The display shows what bp's are in the hanger and could give a warning if not enough minerals are there. The same way with Market. If I hire an indy driver and to begin with make them a supply hauler from the corp manufacturing site and distribute to the corp outposts, why would they need access to the wallet. Same with buy and sell orders (I would like to see a different role for the ability to buy and to sell). It might be a bit more work for the Manager, but in the long run a better system.
The second issue is with the CEO and Board of director role. These roles has access to everything. If i'm running the Market division, why would the director of the military need access to my hanger. Funding would be the same way. The CEO has access to everything as well. The protection that has been added thus far protects the management of the corp, but there is nothing really to protect the rank and file. I would recommend removing all access to the CEO/like CEO control and institute a "board of directors voting system" This would still alow for the corps who's CEO is a dictator :) that CEO would just not use the board of director option on any other player thus his 1 vote would be final. Or a corp run by a board of directors each ability that a board member has must be voted on by the board and approved by the majority. This board vote system can also enhance game play in other ways. It could be used for declareing war. Currently a vote has to be done in order to declare war on another corp. This takes way to long at present. Peoples security lvl is trashed durring this time period. If you institute a board vote that allows for instantly engaging in war for the 24 hour period until the general vote comes in, this would solve alot of problems.
Just some of my ideas

Just wanted to point out that both in Test and in Live I had to clear my cache before I could see the security roles 1-5.
Without clearing my cache, the roles tabs looked the same as in 1058 with the exception of the Pilot role removed. Clearing the Eve cache folder fixed this.
Hellmar, can't the patching tool do this for us? Delete everything but the prefs.ini, bookmarks, chatlogs, etc. Seems like it would be useful to add that to the patching tool.
