Edited by: John Blackthrone on 01/11/2007 14:03:15 Hi, I remember there were some screenshots of some new Roids (a better Veldaspar or something). Well i want to ask if someone can give me informations about those new Roids? Were can you find them? only 0.0 or empire or lowsec? and how much more Trit is inside?

mission ore IMHO will lower the effect of macrominers. The only time I have gotten a mining mission was for storyline "prep for war" missions.(almost always for Kernite and Omber)
But the exploration / mining implant sets sound real intresting. (if they work - unlike some of the LP store stuff)

Eh, it will hurt us non-macro miners, too. Kernite is the best thing to mine because of those missions, and the only thing I bother mining any more (high sec guy, here). Also possibilities I see due to the mining missions, if they truly do do away with the "Prep for War" storyline missions, as well: mexallon prices will drop, isogen prices will drop even more. Kernite, when mined, would become more valuable as minerals, and now all the kernite mex and isogen minerals will enter the market to bring those prices down even more.
But maybe the mining missions will have nothing to do with "Prep for War" and I can still have my Friday and Monday kernite run. :)

That dev blog, particularly the diagram in it, is evidence of yet another desperate attempt to make people go into low-sec. And it missed out a path:
--------> get blown up by griefers on way out ---------> END
People will not stay in low-sec space in any numbers because it is too much risk for the money, especially with the new plague - motherships, virtually untouchable in low-sec space because you can't launch bubbles. (I said virtually, not completely.)
The problem of low-sec space is not going to go away, unless and until something is done about it. One obvious thing that could be done is that if you lose your ship while still under a criminal flag the insurance doesn't pay out. Of course, CCP the pirates' friend will never do this, or anything else like it.
I've pretty well made up my mind to jump ship the day another space MMORPG comes out - perhaps Infinity? ---------------------------------------------- "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."

looks to be two main types of new ores.
1)super low-ends: mega trit, and maybe scord, to be seeded out in 0.0 to Try and get people to mine them.
2)mission ore: likely a handful of odd ores (some in use before, like fools crokite from the new player missions) to give miners something to mine for missions.
Having experimented on sisi, it seems that at least the new mining-mission ores will be non-refinable and not able to be sold via the standard market.
