Edited by: Asestorian on 11/10/2007 15:33:32 GM's only take ISK out of your account if you bought it. They won't give it back, and take the attitude that it was your fault for breaking the EULA in the first place.
If you didn't buy ISK, you can try and appeal and give evidence that you didn't, but if you did then you are completely out of luck. And that's the right way to do it.

What he said. Don't buy ISK. You can't expect to break the EULA and then come whine when you get found out.

Sorry, but you are not going to get any sympathy or assistance here. Either you bought ISK and got what you deserved, or you did not buy ISK and need to appeal to GM's for assistance. That is all there is too it.

That's the point. It's punishment for you cheating and buying ISK, which is against the rules. If you want to solve it you're going to have to find a way.
You can still get NPC bounties if you have a ship.

Create an alt, and use that character to get enough ISK to return your balance to positive.

You're not getting this at all are you...
You bought ISK, something which breaks the End User License Agreement (that you agreed to when you installed EVE/created your account). A GM found you out and removed your ISK. You may be able to npc your way up to a +ve wallet balance, I dunno, never bought ISK before, so have never been in your situation.
The long and short of it is, either do the time, or quit the game (one less ISK-buyer messing up the economy can never be a bad thing).

You should be thanking the gods that's ALL off your problems, a negative ISK balance. Do the same thing you were punished for again, and you might not have an account at all anymore. _

Ok. You got caught. Now you know better.
Like your character? If so, go to ShatteredCrystal.com, buy a GTC from them (30 or 90day). Sell it on the forums; 30day@190, 90day@400m, have the money deposited to that toon. Deficit will be cleared, and you can play Read GTC Trade Stickys on forums to figure out how to proceed...its simple. Always do secure GTC trade, or you maybe didn't learn enough the first time.
Eve provides a legal way to add outside $$ to your account. That's the only way permitted.
If you don't like the character, leave him with a huge deficit and move on. Please refrain from posting if you have something to contribute. Thank you. -Hango (http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=496403)

Since you spent RL $$ to get that taken away, you gotta spend more RL $$ to put it back.
Don't despair.
Buy 30day GTC's. Sell them in Game for ISK. This is completely approved of by CCP.
1 GTC can get you 175m. By the looks of that screenie, you're gonna need 2.
But what do I know? I'm still a noobie.

Buy game time codes and sell them for ISK. It is legal way of buying ISK and you can cover your negative balance with them and sell enough to have positive 300 mil. You only need to buy two 90 day codes and you will get 800 mil ISK for them - you'll have +500 mil ISK left over. Read my sig for more details.
If you buy from websites and not using game time codes, the GM's will come and take your money.

Please don't do this though. We don't need ISK buyers in the community. Go play something else. Maybe one of those shoddy online games that you HAVE to pay rl money for ingame stuff, seeing as you like to do that so much.

He didn't lie about that. He just whines that his punishment leaves his character unable to play (which is of course part of the punishment).

What ****es me off is that a lot of the ISK-buying sites screw over newbies by saying "its okay to buy ISK for RL cash!", when in fact its not. Puts a quick end to a lot of newer players, while the ISK farmers don't suffer hardly at all.
Makes me sick .

If GMs reimburse a lost ship, they remove the insurance money received for its original loss. If you've already spent that ISK, it's possible to end up with a negative wallet.
I've no idea what the OP's situation is; just saying it doesn't necessarily mean isk-buying was involved.

Well, I suppose that is true, I didn't think about that. But I never petition ship losses...
However, considering the amounts involved this wasn't a ship loss, and was clearly a case of ISK buying.

Except for that part about it being exactly 300 million that was taken (no ship has an insurance payout with that exact price) and that if a ship reimbursement will put your wallet into the negitive, they will ask you before they do it.

I'll guess that the broken image link up top is a wallet screenshot, then. Not seeing an amount written anywhere. Yup, 300 on the nose ain't insurance. |
