Hello. I am working for Republic Security Services level 3 agent in Pator, for division Intelligence. For about four or five times, I have been offered a storyline/important mission from a storyline agent in Pator, from Intelligence division as well. But EVERY time, it was the mission "Materials for war preparation". Please, was I just unlucky, and that agent usualy gives kill missions (like I am getting from my normal intelligence agent), or I am stuck with doing that crappy mission ? Can I somehow do the 16. mission near better storyline agent in order to get better storyline mission? Thank you

Nope, the mission is chosen at random.

Local Channel:
"Voin > any mission runners here? Selmada > mission runners all over i would think Voin > good, cause question is how often Story line agent give to us courier or trade mission, and how much % of those? Selmada > well if you just dont accept the mission you dont take any standing loss Selmada > at least for the storyline ones Voin > all my life in Eve i did and do combat missions (95% of it's) and Im tired of f...ing situation with story line Agents who give to me each second mission trade or courier Voin > I believe we (Mission Runners) have to write open petition to CCP about that Selmada > ahh yes.. they do that a lot... well, if you get a blocade runner hauler and use nano's in the lows... the courriers go really fast Voin > side have to be in side I believe, wich mean: combat mission runners have to get the story missions as division they do %, I know Story line Agents have no division, but I wont accept the situation when combat runners get the same courier story mission as a courier runner's, this is injustice and I would like to get as much mane pilots on the forum who can sighn under that... sorry for my English Selmada > it's ok, i can understand it well Voin > I'll not take standing loose but I lost allready time for 16 missions - the time I did to protect this piece of Empire off npc pirates... Voin > Story line Agent should know very well who do the first job in Empire and who do a secondary job... Voin > my opinion Selmada > I agree with that... let the courrier mission runners do the courrier storylines... Voin > only me and u are interesting in this local channel about situation with Story line Agents? Other pilots have nothing to say? Selmada > most people dont watch local chat i believe Relent Devine > i think you are correct on the story line thing Misaari Gar > i do. Relent Devine > but I also thing that there is not much you can do about it Misaari Gar > we also have the constelation chat, but that one is even less looked at Voin > good to know at least, all we need as many signs as we can get on the forum and personnaly I need to correct my English here to be typing on the forum Selmada > I dont see why CCP cant keep a tally of the missions a person runs and give them proportional storylines... for instance if you run 90% combat and 10% courrier missions on average... the storlyine generator should give you the same proportional story Relent Devine > every one else feels the same Voin > thats exactly way I think too... Relent Devine > but why dwell on the problem when there is nothing you can do about it Misaari Gar > also, more storylines! Misaari Gar > or more often Selmada > well, we can always ask ccp to change it ... not likly to work but if we never ask then there will definatly never be anything done"

because combat story lines give too much faction standings for you to get them all the time?

what did u mean by "all the time"? I do combat mission cause I wont to do courier or trade and in the story line I prefer the same way - this is first thing, and second to get 2-3-4 courier or trade story line mission's in a row didn't mean by your opinion all the time? And 3-d, CCP found a way to make random percantage by division's such 95% and 5% by combat and other mission's, I don't see a problem why they cann't fix the same random with Story Line Agent's?

What the heck is wrong with materials for war anyway? Most mission hubs have the ore that's wanted for sale (OK, it's at a gouger's price) so you can do that particular IM in 10 seconds - and still make a profit. As you don't get any LP from IMs, this has to be a bonus. ---------------------------------------------- "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."

to prove my opinion, transaction for the Caldari in this year, from 18 Total Story line mission's, 12 was Non-Combat in fact I'm working only with Combat Agent's all my pilot life in EvE and ~ 93% of my usual mission's are Combat's...
Transaction's of Story Line Faction
and now I got another Non-Combat wich I didn't accept yet...

at lvl 1 i got the same get 999 veldspar quest for 7 times. at lvl 2 i got the same 5 mission quest chain for 4 times. at lvl 3 i got the same 10 mission quest chain for 2 times. (I'm still working on this)
So I get the same quest repeatedly when im working on the same agent repeatedly.

Well yes, it's easy but when you've had it 4 times in a row it's also very annoying. After doing 16 hard missions working towards a storyline you want a bit more than having to use the market for 10 seconds for very little standings increase only to start a new 16. Once, fine. Twice, np. third time, grrrr. Fourth FFS

Materials for War is easy enough to prepare for: Simply go out for a few minutes and fill your hold once or twice and leave the ore in station. When MfW comes up, just hit the complete button and move on. Forget gouger prices, just plan ahead. _______________________________

well my argument wasn't really that it's hard, it was that I dont find it fun to have 4 times on the bounce. I know how to buy ore for an agent lol

What's annoying is turning down a mission and getting the same exact mission. It's random. Take your lumps and move on. _______________________________

I love Materials for war! Buy the 10000 Omber at the closest station where it's sold at a reasonable price, fetch it, complete the mission, put the implant up for sale, 9m isk profit for 5 mins work... Complain about that and you are a nutter in my opinion.

If this is a mission you get from time to time, put a buy order up for the ore you need, so you have it on hand when you get the mission. Saves ISK, and you don't have to worry about collecting the ore every time you get the mission.
