Hello there,
Yes you read the title right. I've been playing EVE Online for over a year now and have had some great times, but recently I've found myself not having all too fabulous an experience. I decided after not really finding much in the corporations I joined I should try my hand at something else, variety brings fun after all. After much musing I decided I could try to build my own corporation to my own design.
Why potential then? Well, a corporation needs people, without it the corporation exists only as a name that no one cares to remember. This is a recruitment call not to bolster some ranks, or to fill a skill gap, this is a recruitment call to create.
You'll probably next want to know who this arrogant jerk is who thinks he can wade into the recruitment forum to demand people to fly by his side. Well I think rather than give a CV a second time I'll direct you to a somewhat older application post by myself.
Think you can stand myself from the linked post? Let me try to dissuade you further with personal details. Currently I'm shipping off to University to study physics for four long years which I'm sure will blur by fast with the time accelerator which is oddly packaged in beer bottles. I'm a lover of music, contain deep geekery, and have more than a touch of insanity. I can assume your next question.
What am I looking to achieve with this corp?
# A very friendly experience where every night or so, people can just load up and go find a fight, mine, chat, run missions, whatever your poison happens to be. # No demands on corporation activities, everything is voluntary, although I would hope due to the nature of the group everyone won't mind chipping in. # Helpful to those who need it, and have a relaxed play style. Honestly, it's a game. I know you might not believe me but I checked wikipedia and it's totally true. If you blow when you lose some space monies, even if it's to a fellow pilot's incompetence, I would not welcome you. # A place of support and companionship to help everyone achieve the goals they have. Whether it's become famous, or a successful fighter or a rich industrialist, together the people are always stronger. # Fun.
Not very specific is it? It's not intended to be. I'm going to play this however people want to, I'll try my hand at anything at the very least once no matter how strange it may seem in the beginning.
Having decided I might as well give it a go, and having nothing to lose I clicked the fiendish "Create Corporation" button. What name did I pick upon? Well true to my inner geek:
Schrodinger's Renegades.
Obscure enough not to be ridiculed on sight, enough geek cred to stand strong in the EVE universe. I'm not married to it in any way however, so if the replies are "Sure I'd join, if the name wasn't full of suck" I have no qualms with re-evaluating it.
I have no problems in accepting those who've barely started, I've mentored a few people through EVE, with another one in apprentice at the moment. The most successful student of mine has already become a sinister Caldari/Minmatar PvP expert, but she also has that madness every minmatar pilot requires. I also have no problem in accepting people with more experience than myself. I like to learn more about the game and expertise out of my league will always be appreciated, like I said, through grouping we will be stronger.
Does this sound appealing to you? Anything you want to ask or know? Want to apply? Ship me an EVE-Mail, talk to me ingame, or email schrodingersrenegadesATgmailDOTcom. If yo uwant to apply, tell me about yourself, your character, and what you're after.
Will this corporation take off? It's up to you!
See you in space, -Rag

Having piloted with Rag on many occasions I can tell you he's an amazing Eve player and you'll definitely see action with him. Always willing to help people out, be it with set-ups, basic training, flying cover. You name it, he's probably up for it.
This is one of the funniest guys in Eve I'd say so you'll have a great time flying with him.

Being relatively new to the game, and the apprentice that Rag's currently helping out, I can honestly say that he is a great EVE player - and if that doesn't stand for much because I'm a newbie, then let me say that the majority of things that I've learnt in EVE are from him. He's always willing to help, and has shown me a lot more to the game than I would have found out for myself at this point, and helped me out a lot.
As a person, he's a great guy as well. Always up for a chat, helping, or whatever. You really would have a great time with him.

Can't really say more than what has already been said.
A great guy, a great pilot and genuine to.
Start ups are always difficult but I hope that Schrodinger's Renegades succeeds.

Free bump because I thought that was a great recruitment post, and because I love the name.
Might be getting an EVE-Mail from me soon.

I've received a question about voice servers, and most importantly if we have one. I certainly don't mind shelling out the paltry sum for a ventrilo server every month for corp. use as soon as a few join. The one or two people flying around with me currently use skype for convenience and general apathy but it's no trouble to transition to something more professional.
Hope to hear from recruits soon,

I have flown with Ragnarohk for about five months.
I can say he is a very decent person, true to his word.
Always willing to help even if its 30 jumps away.
He knows how to fly his ships and how to fit them.
If he has set his mind to this new corporation, I’m sure he will make it work.

Progress!
We have our first American player incoming within the next day and two British players around the same time. Since this is now a more internationally timed operation, the corporation is looking for members from all time zones to join in activities, giving people something to do around the clock.
Remember, getting in on a corporation early means your opinion matters. Your ideas can influence how the corporation grows, operates and is represented. If you want to be a part of it, contact me.
Fly with fun in your hearts, -Rag

Still recruiting! Come join this fresh corporation and see what it's like to have your input directly affect your game play. Currently our favourite activity is getting a gang together and tearing it up around Egghelende. Those pirates sure are easily surprised.
So far we have two British girls, myself and an American incoming or joined.
Join the fun,

Free Trivia: Being a new CEO, I have learnt one thing very very quickly from leading the players. Never, ever **** off a girl in a thorax. Luckily, she's on my team....

Hey there! You guys sound like my kind of people. 25 year old American here. I just rejoined the game after a 2 year hiatus and looking to have fun (again). Alas, my friends don't play anymore. My character is heavy on mining skills but also interested in getting into some combat (little to almost no experience). I'm curious about a few things, namely, what time do you usually play (I'm CST here so GMT-6 I believe) and where are you located in game? I'm married and in grad school so I'm not available to be on EVERY night but will try very hard to be! -hope to chat with you soon -Derek a.k.a Stilgar

Edited by: Ragnarohk on 17/11/2007 14:53:45 Hello Stilgar!
Admittedly at the moment we're primarily a British time zone corporation, however we do have a handful of American players which we're looking to expand of course. As a new corporation we don't have every time zone covered as of yet so it may require a little patience before you see a good number of "regulars" on every night while you play. At the moment we live primarily in Sinq Laison but are considering a move to more interesting areas.
However we are an odd bunch from University students to Old Men with Real Jobs(tm) so if you want to give us a try, or would like any questions answered, please don't hesitate to eve-mail myself.
Hope to hear from you soon, -Rag
