I have taken all the station names from the most recent data dump. Are the outposts not NPC stations? If not, then that is why they are not in the list. Maybe you could try and send me a few logs from the regions in particular. I can be reached at eraggan.sadarr (at) gmail dot com

edit: Actually it would be great to have a system column in addition to a station column, that would make 0.0 markets far easier since there's only 1 station per system so you don't have to add the constantly changing station names to the file.
I can do that but it will increase the size of the overall program, so raise your hands if you want this feature :)

I'll take a look at it. It would be helpful if you could tell me what options you have changed, if any. Also your regional/language settings. Your problem is happening when the program is detecting a new file created in your marketlog directory. I can't seem to reproduce it. But if you could give a more detailed description of your steps, i might be able to figure it out. What item was selected at the time you experience the error? What item are you exporting?
Are you manually changing/copying/moving the files in the marketlog dir?
Thanks in advance.
Your questions prompted me to investigate the Marketlogs folder more closely. When I moved all existing marketlog exports into another folder, and downloaded fresh marketlogs, the program worked. This prompted me to see if there was any particular file that caused the error, and it was: My orders - 2007.07.16 2328.txt, as well as any other My orders file in the directory. Moving those out of the directory made the program work.
Suggestion: find a way to deal with My orders file :)

Haha...i never saw that you could also export your own orders... is that a revelations feature??
Oh well bug fix up in new version in a few minutes.

Nicely done, gratz :)
Found a little bug with it though, with regards to how the program reads the marketlog filenames and extracting the module name. It seems it will read the filename, finds the first "-" and expects everything behind it to be the modulename. There are regions that have a "-" in their name (for example: Kor-Azor), and you would end up with modules like "Azor-Small Armor Repairer I".
Just a small thing, not sure if there are any modules with a "-" in their name but if there aren't it's pretty easy to fix this.

Actually there are module with hyphens(-) in their names. But thx for the bug report, and the good description of it... i'll fix it ASAP :)

Yes. But it doesn't store anything. It loads the logs from the directory that EVE stores them in, or a directory that you define.

You just select the item from a list. This list is genereted from the marketlogs you have exported yourself.
Hope this answers your questions.

Feature thoughts
Can you set up multiple region windows? I typically go through 3-7 systems when doing comparisons.
Or, conversely can you set up some way to find the best prices from each region/systems for buying/selling and display results in one area? For going through as many regions as I, it's almost easy using pen and paper to log it all and look at it in on glance, but you are able to work some magic here, that would be nifty!

My original plan was to dynamically be able to add as many region windows as you wish, but in practice there is just not enough space on the screen (even in my dual monitor setup which gives 3200 pixels width). But i'll think about a find best sell/buy price for a particular item (sort of "find highest buy order in all available regions", and the same for sell, just lowest order).

Hmmm... I have no really easy way of doing this, because modules also have hyphens. Sadly CCP changed the way they export market logs so the filenames are no longer divided by " - " hyphens with spaces but instead just "-" hyphens. This result in no way to differentiate between a divider hyphen and a module or region name hyphen. My only solution so far would be to make a database export of region names and then check each file against theat data and then then module name is the rest og the string until we meet the final hyphen which means the datetime part.
If anyone has a better idea, please post it :)

Well, you could have it count the number of hyphens first. If the number of hyphens is greater than the "uncomplicated" string would be, then have it do the comparison checking. Should eliminate some overhead or processes.

Sadly there is no uncomplicated string as the marketlogs can be with or without a hyphen in both module and region name. So if i just count i will never know which had the extra hyphen if only one of them is present.
But i have fixed it as outlined earlier. New version is up :)

You only have to download the setup file if you want to install and use the application. The source are just available for other developers, or curious people.
And it works with any marketlogs that you have access to from your machine, i.e. you have to be able to point to the files directory (you can do that in options). So you could easily share marketlogs with a friend, and divide the work of exporting them. Just copy to your existing directory. You can even do it while the application is running, as it will automatically detect new files and load them.
I hope that answers your questions, otherwise feel free to ask again :)
