I am looking to travel far, fast and safe in a Stiletto using WTZ, my basic idea is a cloak in high, lows would either be a combo of nano fibers and i-stabs, or a full rack of WCSes.
Rigs: Low friction nozzle joint Polycarbon engine housing
But my doubts: Should I mount any kind of shield tank, or is this counter productive as it may increase my signature?
Is mounting some ECM worth it? and if so which modules?
How effective would the above setup be at running 0.1-0.4 sec gatecamps?
Would AB/MWD actually improve my survival chance against a non 0.0 gatecamp? my guess is if I am actually locked, I am dead
Any basic flaws in my thinking?

Edited by: Aggrod on 07/09/2007 12:32:50 A frigate can run past most 0.1 - 0.4 sec gatecamps just fine with inertia stabs. So long as you are warping to 0.
The only ships that can normaly lock on in time will be blasted by the gate sentries. fitting an MWD can help against remote sensor boosted BS's, but then the chance of them getting you locked is low anyways.
If your just looking to run low sec with it, then riggs wont be needed. ECM wont be on any real use, but a sheild booster cant hurt.

I'd go with: rigs: warp speed rigs lows: inertia stabs meds: shield extenders/hardeners against smartbombs
nothing will get a lock on you if you fill the 3 lows with inertia stabs, the cloak isn't even really needed.
I do use a cloak on a simular fast/secure hauling setup but that's on a stabber, and even on that one it's just for added security, unlikely that people will get a lock on a light cruiser with inertia stabs in lows.

Ok, in that case warp speed rigs rule, I will just forward the bill to you if someone proves "safe" is not safe enough

Claw = 4 lows:
cloak, 1mn mwd t2, cap recharger 2 2 nano fibre t2, 2 istab t2,
rigs: polycarbon engine housing 2.
*should* insta warp i think.

Ares (gallente interceptor) practically warps instantly with two i-stabs and two nanos.

if they are lowsec camps shouldn't be any problem in an inty... unless you run into a smartbomb camp

smartbombs ruin anyone's day... as a general rule of thumb, if i dont know what is at the gate I am warping to, especially in known hot zones, warp at 70km or so. this gives you enough range to warp out if you need too, but is only ~2 cycles of the MWD to get to the gate.
