Edited by: Scius on 05/09/2007 04:35:06 Edited by: Scius on 05/09/2007 04:34:16 I was just browsing through EVE Tribune, when I came across the following article. http://www.eve-tribune.com/index.php?no=2_36&page=7
As probably 97% of you know, this is about my Nightmare/Dreadnought incident in Aunenen. I respect freedom of the press. Infact, I am glad this article was posted. What interested me about this article the most is the excerpt from the "transcript" at the bottom saying " full unedited transcript " and has a link to the transcript of Exuro Mortis' Alliance Chat on the 24th of August. However, before this, there is a block of the transcript which appears to be taken from the alliance chat log, however, it is edited. What was taken out, to my shock?:
[ 2007.08.24 02:25:47 ] Scius > What was I supposed to do after he popped my battleship? [ 2007.08.24 02:25:49 ] Scius > Just go "ok" [ 2007.08.24 02:26:06 ] Yokujin > yes =/ [ 2007.08.24 02:26:07 ] Klak > yeah [ 2007.08.24 02:26:08 ] XBL DCM > call for backup? [ 2007.08.24 02:26:12 ] Scius > I did. [ 2007.08.24 02:26:12 ] Klak > or call for help [ 2007.08.24 02:26:13 ] Akat > well you dont throw more isk at them without a support fleet [ 2007.08.24 02:26:14 ] Righteous Fury > yea [ 2007.08.24 02:26:15 ] Yokujin > i agree with RF here m8 =/
I find this interesting, to say the least, and I didn't quite notice it before. Exuro you revel in the impossibilities of coming to my aid. You speak of some "three minutes," a time frame pulled from your rearends. Nevertheless, TWO of your alliance members BLATANTLY gave the advice to "Call for help" as you can see here, and found on the chat log from the news article: http://www.eve-tribune.com/2_36/scius.html
Which was so conveniently edited in the main article.
In all of your defenses and bashing, two of your alliance members even SUGGESTED I call for help.
You showed nothing but cowardice on that day and have sought every possible alley to make yourselves seem so right. Maybe you should consult some of your colleagues next time.

Scius, you are still *&^%$#$ if u though that u can touch MS with single dread. You lost 10b in ships and assets because of your stupidity.

As a previous OMEN member let me point out what hasn't been mentioned here: the traffic on Vent.
OMEN was in range, spooling up, to Cyno in help, and Scius was told to take his dread to the camp and to prepare as other Capital ships were coming to his aide.
Marcus told Scius he was getting a Cyno ready to launch help.
The fact that Exuro Mortis was x number of jumps away was irrelevant.
What is relevant was that an alliance member came across alliance chat and asked for help, and was immediately treated with hostility and contempt (per the log), and no help was offered, even though members were suggesting it.
Way to leave his arse hanging out there.
On top of that, what about revenge? Was Exuro Mortis unable to come and break the camp in order to avenge an alliance member, regardless of his odds against the Nyx? Or was it more convenient to sit back and make fun of him?
And the topper is to post a front page article http://www.eve-tribune.com/index.php?no=2_36&page=7 ridiculing this player, after essentially not living up to backing up your mates.
This whole episode is shameful.

What made it think that it was a good idea to jump in without support? If you're unsure about support, at least wait for your corpmates.
But, because I'm a nice guy. I'll replace your nightmare for you. I got another one in 77s. Bring your pod down.

As stated by the other Omen member here. I was ORDERED to go to the camp and begin engaging.

Dear Scius,
I truly and deeply sympathise with you. I believe you did the right thing and your corp mates were real DIC*HEADS (and they/and others still are by reading their replies).
You should never allow anyone to walk over you in any game or RL. When they see madness in your actions, I see strenght and head strong determination to say: 'Dont Fu*k with me, you MOTHERF**KERS!!!'
I applaude and bow to you.. I dont believe I could have done the same and kept my cool under the prejudices of an entire corp.
So keep it up and fly proud, my Amarrian brother, Kristie
On a side note, I am currently investing heavily on capital ship building. So far I have been successful in saving 1.5 b isks and I am now in possession of all 4 carrier BPOs. However I require more isks to kick start my capital production. If you send me another 1.5b isks I will make you my partner and we get to make **** loads of isks.
But hurry up, some other players have already and some others want to chip in. I need someone like yourself who I can trust in this endeavour.

Anyone with half a brain, knows that dreads shoot stationary POSes. its about all they do well.. because out of seige they do less dmg than a BS. in seige they cant hit anything with a transversal (even so little as 5m/s lol)

1) Umm to cyno from FOUNTAIN WHERE WE ARE BASED would take more than one cyno therefore taking more than 30min (have to recharge cap for next cyno) and HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GO 50+ JUMPS IN 3MIN WITH A SUPPORT FLEET?? ANSWER ME THAT!
2) It doesn't matter that possiably .O. "ordered" him to attack it, its called COMMON SENCE
3) Again, he did not reviel his location until AFTER he had engaged and died.
4)Revenge? LMFAO!!! What the **** are we supposed to do against a SUPER CAP in LOWSEC when it can just warp out. If you have not noticed: IMMUNE TO ALL ELECTRONIC WAREFARE! THAT MEANS WARP SCRAMS AS WELL.
5) YOUR FACE IS SHAMEFUL OH WAIT IT'S A BIG "!" STFU N00B ~~~~~~

Edited by: Plutoinum on 05/09/2007 05:21:32 You don't engage a mothership plus support alone in a dread and hope that your alliance magically form a fleet in seconds and arrive to take down the mothership, before you are dead. Won't happen. Your chances to take down the mom were zero and your chance to survive was zero, after you engaged (especially with those stupid cargo expanders).
Someone, who flies a dreadnought, should know that, otherwise he shouldn't be in that ship in the first place. You may have a different opinion about that, but you have lost a dread, so I'm right.
If that had happened to a corp or alliance mate, only a few reasonable explanations come into my mind like excessive use of alcohol or little brother/sister has hijacked the account.
