Lol, we're not too bothered about losses in the slightest. They were worth it for that fight, it was awesome IAC had the added bonus of being able to get into the fight quicker having 25s and fat stations there but we had the bonus of having a bigger fleet to start with. After 3 hours though I really don't think all that mattered. Everyone was just seeing red and shooting whatever the hell was near them

Exactly, GF.
BOB/MC/FIX/AXE/YW/STORM + whoever there were seemed to keep getting reinforcements from querious pretty well too (except when there was small camp in 25s). Must admit tho that I had a few bad words cause of the lag when modules didn't activate but guess that was same for everyone.

(IAC pilots only)
If you want an accurate "score" then please include the loses of AAA and CVA. But it appears everyone had a lot of fun, if only CCP could do something about the lag to turn that 50% fun / 50% frustration into 100% fun then it would be awesome.

By far the best fight in this war that I have been in. Both sides were just brining it, lag was fine, yes laggy but wasnt like 'omg I cant do anything' well it wasnt like that for me. It was just really choppy. I was in the fight for a good 2 hrs of just continous fighting.
This is why we play this game. Awesome stuff.

Don't troll this thread, the disclaimer is there. We're not chestbeating, everyone realizes a single killboard is only good for determining how much that alliance actually lost. Final IAC loss tally is at 9 or so billion, without including the subsequent skirmishes. ---

Not really, considering these are all the kills BoB participated in, and only BoB's losses. It pretty much confirms the AAA/IAC/CVA victory considering BoB was only 1 of the alliances on the other side. ------------------------------------------------ Murphy's Golden Rule: Whoever has the gold, makes the rules.

The overwhelming majority of BoB kills were frigates and cruisers too. They like to shoot really small ships to improve their kill death ratio so I wouldn't look too lovingly at the raw numbers.

Well IAAACVA held the field so that technically means we 'won' but seriously it didnt matter, I dont think -anyone- cared about any losses they suffered.
When I got home and logged in and raven (our ceo) changed the corp channel topic to "FAT and 25s are under attack", I knew enough and got in my shiny toys
I never ever expected this fight to rage on for so long, usually one (or both) of the gangs end up hiding somewhere, but I think both parties said f... it and entered the onslaught.
The end result was an amazing fight, lag still playable, the wrecks causing my PC (which is pretty hefty) to lockup each time I loaded the grid after a warp-out. Several people dieing several times (on both sides) but still getting new ships.
Loved it and lets hope that all future fights (as there will be future fights) will be with the same amount (or less) lag so we can at least play. As there's only one thing I feel that would ruin the game, and thats the lag that we (for example) had in ED-.

Really enjoyed that, was a really good punchup. I was surprised my dictor lasted as long as it did to be honest, at one point I managed to get out of my bubble and into warp at 39% structure.
Warping back in ment a few more runs of the bubble launcher before some IAC support finally ended me and my pod.
It again reminds me of what this game would be if such fights could be had without ~1FPS lag.

Sounds like it was one of those epic fights that deserves a battlereport video version.

They didn't have any (2 cva bs + some tacklers)
But IAC's kb now shows about 10 bil in losses for that day, so it's a bit more than it was showing at first

Clone jumped in from empire to 25s, jumped in my vaga (lost that), jumped in my vulture and survived the rest of the evening
Lag was "epic" but I just about managed to fight with 1 frame every 5 seconds
The number of corpses on the station probably increased the lag as much as the wrecks but it was a great fight and a perfect time for me to log on as the fight had just started!
Wait till the weekend for the next round? I'm away all week!

I'm bothered about the type of loss which has my pimped-out arazu appear on CCP killboards (lag/desych gate jump ftl).
GF Bob, McFix and Co! Even though I had 5 spf in FAT (not a typo, 5 seconds per frame).

Since people are saying that the lag wasn't up to it's usual horrible CCP standard I was just wondering what the peak number of players in system was?
Nice to see that POS warfare hasn't quite killed off the oldfashioned pew pew just yet though.

My corpies were reporting "not bad" lag right up to "1 minute per frame", so YMMV.

Looks like CVA's entry into the war is already making some progress. Hopefully IAAACVA will stay together. Maybe bob will take a lesson from this; don't complain about the other side blobbing you 3:1 when you've ****ed off people 3:1 against you. Reap what you sow, etc.

350 ish? It fluctuated a lot.
Lag was pretty bad but not the worst I've ever seen. At one point I warped away from the station, saw all the warp effects and my overview cleared. Then a vaga and a ranis showed up warping with me. Then they started flashing red and shooting. Eventually killed me while I was getting "attempt to activate module underway" and "you can't do that while warping" messages. Kind of funny that I get the worst lag after warping away from the big fight.

why would we need to take a lesson from that?
i believe it was noticed from day one. hell if there are no reds or neutrals then theres no pew pew and with the challenge were facing at the moment, theres definatly a lot of pew pew to be had
as for the ratio on numbers for and against in gangs, well if anything i think the only complaints that should be aired about that is when fleets run off even with a 1:1 ratio.
CVA stood their ground and faught back which is good for them and a good fight was had by all involved. im just a little pee'd off i wasnt involved, RL and all that, maybe next time
gratz to all involved in that fight and may there be pleanty more ---------------------------- BOB 4 LIFE NOT JUST 4 A DAY ----------------------------

Seriously killboard ratios don't matter. This is a very rare occasion. An occasion where a multitude of alliances took part, killed ALOT of ships and left with a smile on their faces (both sides). Think about it. What usually happens is one superblob smacking a smaller oppononet around...or TWO superblobs which just crash the server. These were two relatively large blobs that were able to fight well enough despite the lag (which was pretty bad at times but not unworkable).
Considering that some BOB members are saying that this has been their favourite fight of the war I'd say that's pretty significant. Bob rely heavilly on their capital fleet and they didn't use it in this fight. There were something like 3 carriers and a mom involved and massive conventional fleets. Maybe that's a sign: Non capital fights are more fun. Capital fights normally = massive blobski of like 500 ships total to protect them.
More of these fights should happen. If this happened regularly, I wouldn't give a crap about territory. This type of fight is why I play Eve. It's why I signed up in the first place, and why I joined a 0.0 alliance. As far as I'm concerned according to last night's fight, IAAACVA are my targets, not my enemies. Big difference. They're only my enemies if they're trying to take my stations
Quite simply, I don't care about K/D ratio here. Nobody really took unbelievably hard losses, the fight lasted quite a while, and the vast majority of people involved had alot of fun. Imho that's what Eve is about. It's a game, everyone involved last night remembered that. Nowadays in Eve, that's rare. It's all about chestbeating and who's better than who.
Thankyou IAC, CVA, and AAA for bringing that constantly. And thanks to all our allies that showed up to make that an awesome encounter.
Eve is for fun. Not for chestbeating and trolling.
