It seems like the devs tried to stay far far away from your stereotypical spaceship designs, which makes for some funny looking ships. But that's not a bad thing, in my opinion.
I heard from someone in-game that CCP is planning a big upgrade to ship and station graphics.
Yea, i heard that the Scythe was gonna look different after the patch. WTF happened? no upgrades, no nothing.
Also my ugliest ship that i love is the typhoon, cuz it might be ugly, but that must mean it's strong.
1. typhoon
2. domi (look like ... you don't wanna know)
3. stabber (it doesn't look nice at all.)
4. moa, but i like the fraction once much better)

Brutix - Its just ugly. Maybe if the same ship was close to the same size it would be OK but that really skinny at the ass end and HUGE at the front just looks dumb.
Myrmidon - Looks like a frozen stiff metallic space chicken.

Ferox is great looking. Especially when it is painted black for the Nighthawk. You *****es just don't like the ultra-industrial look.
Osprey and Moa both look like ****.

Caldari ships aren't ugly if you love them.
Brutix is ugly.
Minmatar 'sails' are a kind of miscarriage imho. |

All Gallente ships.
All Caldari ships except the Rohk and Badger.
All Minmatar ships except the Hurricane, Maelstrom, and their industrials.
The Amarrian ships all look good for the most part, with the exceptions being the Crucifier, Aeon, Revelation and Augoror. Those ships are hideous.

I fly mainly Gallente, and of the ships I've flown I like the Brutix most. It's not pretty, but it's a mean mutha and one of the few Gallente ships that is close to symmetrical. However, this topic is not about the winners, but the losers.
1. Exequror. Snot green and looks like it's listing to port. At least fix the texture mapping and change the color. Still my favorite salvage ship, tho!
2. Dominix. It may be a great ship to fly but it looks like a turd. If I hadn't invested a load of SP in drones I'd skip it and go straight to the Mega. Rework it to give it a bit more character, like the Brutix.
3. Myrmidon. It's like a Catalyst on it's side and the Cat ain't gonna win a beauty competition anytime soon. I have to fly it with the screen tilted 90 degrees.

I sorta agree. The Amarr, Caldari and Minmatar have the best 'fleet' battleships. With that I mean they look awesome in a group. Imagine a squadrion of Armageddons...or Rokhs..or Ravens....or Maelstroms etc, all flying in formation. Thats how I rank the 'cool'-ness of battleships.
The Gallentes 3 BS look too flamboyant. I cant see a group of Dominixes flying in formation, it would just seem odd. They would all seem to try and take the main stage.
The thing about having a ship without prominent features and lack of 'uniqueness' make them look seriously badass when in group...think of the Star Destroyers at The Battle of Endor in Star Wars. 
Question: Am I the only one who thinks a group of various sniper-battleships in a fleet look extremely ugly? All those different shapes and colors....yuck
Anyway, my top-three of the ugliest ships (on their own)

3. Scythe

i'd say any of the old minmatar designs are that ugly they probably cause eye cancer.
but i think the main reason is not their 3D models. but the ugly textures and those butt-ugly panels that stick out friggin everywhere.
and to get back to the rusty textures.
could someone explain to me how the outside of a spaceship is supposed to rust? is there a special phenomenon in minmatar space that the emptyness of space in fact contains water and oxygen that makes the ships rust?
i can't wait for end of the year with the new graphics upgrade. somebody in dev-blogs mentioned that minnie ships finally get some love on their looks.

It looks like for uglyness, unevenly design is a crucial factor. After all, the greek idea of beauty regards simetry as a way to determine beauty.
So, the ugliest ship should be chosen from the caldari designs (the most number of uneven ships designed).

Dominix is like really really Ugly tbh,
other then that -
Cruisers: Scythe, Moa, Exequoror ( Spelling ? )
Bs: Domi, Abaddon ( looks like its supposed to be something way bigger then a bs  ), Tempest
Dreads: the Caldari one 
Drones: Hobgoblins ( Coolest Name ever, But its like a Bubble with guns  )

The worst three? Domi, Typhoon, and the Scorpion.
I owned a Typhoon for about a day before I had to ditch the "space log". The Domi looks like a hill with thrusters and the Scorpion seems...unfinished. Kinda like half a ship.
Love the look of my Cyclone tho. Pity I don't fly it as often anymore.

Imho Domi, BB and Raven are fugly...
I find something sexy to the Moa, but just can't stand the BB when I'm flyin it. Just looks like they glued a bunch of leftover parts together...
