But if you look at the production screen, it's only half full. You can put more stuff in there, up to the 40k m3, before it makes you stop. It just confuses that one little bar. As far as I know, that graphical error has been there kinda forever.
I can verify that you can 'overstuff' that 20k glitch.

Its always been like that, you can still fill it all the way up to 40k though -----

"2007.08.15 21:55:27 Info One unit of Carbon Polymers would take 1 units of space. This container only has 0 units free."
This is with 20k units in, trying to put another 20k units. If I were able to 'overstuff', obviously I would have done so already, unless there is some trick to it.
I noticed the production screen as well. That's why I had big red marks circling it, and pointing to the silo itself. The silo will only hold 20k units, though the production screen shows 20k of 40k filled.
So. Overstuffing - How do you do it?

You have to put it in at once, eg, take everything out, then put 40,000m3 in. If it already has some in the tower you can't add more over 20,000m3 for some reason.

I have the same problem/bug, but that doesn't work either. If I try to put 40k m¦ into an empty Silo, it still only accepts 20k m¦. I remember that I definitively had more than 20k m¦ in the Silos when I set up the POS, so it must be possible somehow. Any other ideas?

Hold Shift, Drag stuff into the silo, the pop up allowing you to select quantity will show 0 by default but if you change it to any other number it should work. Simply dragging straight in will tell you its full.
Thats how it works on our silos. -----

I tried that already, but it still doesn't accept more than 20k. If I shift-drag something to the silo when it has 20k in it already, nothing happens (besides that 'error-meeep'). I tried it with only 15k in it - to make it able to accept more materials - and put in 20k for example, but it still only takes the additional 5.000 units. No matter if I shift-drag and enter a value or if I simply drag it. Always 'meeep' and there we are at 20k again

This doesn't work for me. Shift-dragging 40k over only puts 20k in the silo, leaving 20k at the source pile.

I have only been able to use my full 40k capacity by adding two stacks of 19,999 m3 one stack at a time to the silo. If I try to add more than 20k at a time, it is clipped to 20k. If I have more than 20k in it to start, I cant add any.
I.e. the silo has 19,999 m3 in it, I then add a second stack of 19,999 m3 and it will hold the 39998 m3.
This works for my gal silos at 40k and amarr silos at 30k (for 14,999 instead of 19,999).

Thanks a lot, that did the trick. The problem seems to occur if you have a stack of more than 40k in the corp hangar when moving over to the silo. Then it wants to split up the stack and that doesn't work. So I made 2 stacks of 19.900 units and just dragged them over one after the other - and that's it :-)
Good to know now, but tbh it would be very nice if the silo bonus would just work as described ...

That did it for me as well.
Just seperated a 40k stack in the hangar, emptied the silo, and dragged the 40k right into the silo. Before, my stack was greater than 40k and I was trying to split it from the pile in the hangar.
The silo still only shows a 20k m3 capacity though... but at least it's working.
