It's been interesting to watch the developments in the North and be a part of it. MC cleans house, destroying D2; then disappears and takes no more contracts.
The hodgepodge of alliances in the North hold their little pieces of MC-given turf, but alone and unorganized vs the larger TRI alliance and friends, fall like Dominoes.
Good lesson for the future. Don't accept territory in such a hot area that you didn't take for yourself in the first place. Those mercs can be a finicky bunch, leaving you to your own devices. |

Byebye Turncoats should I say..
Uhmmm, you do know that was a hollywood movie right? You CAN tell the difference, right?
Actually the 300 movie was based on an actual fight between the Spartans and the Persians, where a force of roughly 300 Spartans manipulated the Persians into coming along and fighting the Spartans in a narrow passage, making the superior numbers more managable in a way. Although I dont know anything about a spartan law, reading the known (sort of) facts, would convince you that it wouldnt be a suprise to have such a law.
Anyway GL to Sparta, had some good fights o/

Ask about V7 before you comment on us falling buddy.
You may be proven right in time lets face it making a claim that a 0.0 spot may not be held is hardly a prediction worthy of an oracle. This is EVE after all and its not like soverenty does'nt change hands regularly. Its the fighting most of us enjoy and the ocasional house move clears out the parasitical carebear types that seem to gather and do nothing but make money and do no defending. Triming the fat i believe its called.

Astarte Nosferatu: SPARTA sucks. Astarte Nosferatu: If Batman and Superman would team up the World would by ours. bwhahaha Astarte Nosferatu: IRON is great (almost is great as I am!) and everyone else are noobs.

Until a bigger kid on the playground shows up.
Then they run back to Empire for "tactical retreat" to pull an IRON.
at least they wouldnt disband over night to pull a Sparta

the only difference betwen sparta and iron is that iron gave up without a fight! is it clearer now?! can you make new thread about how you imagine iron logo when you jerk off and leave this one to die alone?
ta
You're right, IRON wasn't fighting down south in Querious at all for months upon months before Dek was invaded.
The REAL difference is that Sparta cut a deal to keep their space, where IRON didn't have the resources to defend.
You really believe iron didnt have any more resources? Sparta fought till they were all alone, they actually helped their allies in times of real trouble, rather than Querios ganking. Battles, where coallition had serious losses in south, involved different entities - not iron alone. Sparta was going in certain death against MC&co. in deklein and guess what - practicly on their own. Realizing they were all alone they made mistakes, mistakes that lead them right to this thread... before that, they were worthy allies considering their numbers an will, they had e-guts :) *RIP* iron on the other side WITHDRAWN WITHOUT TRYING, cant blame them for that, it was smart move, but cant stand few idiots (present or x iron's) that are smacking sparta here and now, you DONT have the rights, considering you were stronger than sparta and you took easy way out before them... That way isnt wrong cause it was only way which included alliance survival, but cut the crap ppl should have more respect for Sparta than iron imo, cause iron lives and Sparta died few months ago.
I flew with IRON. I saw what their fleets were turning into as the fighting wore on. Their numbers dropping, their ships more and more cheaply fit, and their FCs more and more pivky about engagements. And this was before Dek was invaded. I'm talking from first-hand experience.
Both alliances made different decisions with the preservation of their alliance being the first priority. One of them turned out to be the right decision. Of course, it was the less glorious decision, but, IMO, there's little glory in fighting a war you know you can't win, either.
I do have a lot of respect for Sparta and IRON, but it's people, such as yourself, that treat what each alliance has done as a black-and-white kind of thing that are doing others a major disservice.

As regards to this whole TOS and TRGET attack. TOS was an amazing corporation with a big member base, the social side was fantastic. I played eve every second i could to see the TOSsers. Then one day things went wrong and the battle being internally from 2 different groups of directors, me myself i kept out of it. The battle ended with Ferret and Panzer leaving the corp, they did this with thier heads held high. (had to add that last part). From within the corp i saw the signs of stress, and people started leaving slowly. I saw the life within TOS being drained away, it seemed the corp was losing its spirit. Then MFINC left CORE and i promptly followed them, coz i had never got into pvp and knew they could cure this hunger for me. This is where i come in, first it took me 4 days to leave as someone dropped roles on me and i had to petition ccp that i was stuck in the corp. After my departure from TOS, i was mailed by a member who will not be named. It was the most abusive child like mail i ever read, and upon this i knew my decision was the right one. I like everyone involved so i stay out of the hostility, but this is stupid the arguing must stop. Ferret and Panzer have become fine pilots with alot of experience, and for TOS they have kept the corp going and fought hard. Most corps have fallen to less than this i must say congrats. I wish you would join hands and make peace, there is no sign of this though.
I must say that if it wasnt for the whole Lady Vanquish and IRON situation then i believe this would have never happened. And Tartus you are my friend but dude, 1 of 3 Directors?? there was more directors before the guys left you are proving there point there dont u think? And dont you think that if TOS had become better CORe would never have died? I hope that you all can see what i am getting at. Ferret and Panzer were part of TOS and because of this on going suffering they left and so did a part of the TOS structure.
Well anyways SPARTA was amazing to stand thier ground against the amazingly overwhelming power of TRI, that shows guts. As for TRI i have to say alot of respect for you, the finest pilots in eve (my opinion). I love this corp i am in, and eve is probably the most hardest game to understand yet its so much fun.
Thank You for listening

Tartus,
I was in TOS for so long the facts were simple and seeing as i was in the convoes with both parties and didnt see u there i think i understand a little better. but feel free to mail me, just make sure it is facts and not whining please. I have had about enough of this attack on Ferret and Panzer from TOS. They are good guys that did some things that some of the corp didnt agree with. But seeing as its a game they were right to try something new, dont you think?

I have missed this post as i dont see caod every freaking day.
I have flow with sparta in fountain, and had a lot of hope in that alliance, even tought about joining them.
But after fountain, i think they got infected with the same plage that killed D2, internal conflict and misleading seeded by spies.
Ok, this sounds like conspiracy, whatever, thats what i think mmm'kay?
I will miss what sparta was in fountain, not sure about the sparta that was in deklein... --
