4) I have kept waiting for one of the Actual "Mouth" pieces of ours to point out something you Spartan Leaders seemed to have missed during this whole adventure. Had Sparta Stood her ground, and continued to Fight againt the MC coallition, odds are good that you would have had to fallen back into branch, or tenal. HOWEVER!! and this is why no one is showing any pitty for you all, Had you done so, and lost all your space, your "FRIENDS" would have help you back up, (*points with a big stick at RAZOR!) you had the opurtunity to show EVE, your ALLIES AND FRIENDS!, and YOUR ADVERSARIES what you were all made of. instead, you chose to go "NUETRAL!" and to later NAP the agressors. and that leaves you with this! EPIC FAIL!

the above is a complete lie......i should know considering i was the mastermind behind having ur capital pos destroyed
i helped arrange the nap and the gathered the info with reagrd to loc and time frame for the op ofc the credit for the kill goes to our FCs(all involved) who bravely led us to victory(crazy sobs jumped into 7 large bubbles)...and ofc i didnt get to do the killing b/c of ccp

As sad as i am that some Spartans are making some rediculous accusations here (granted both sides aren't exactly saints), I will say this:
1.) IRON were the first to kick off the war in the South against Fix. They fought hard.. possibly the hardest out of everyone and did the most collateral damage in the campaign. It was a joy to fly with them, and in doing i earned a great deal of respect for them and from them.
2.) Here's the part alot of people don't realise: When the MC turned up in the North to run interference, IRON pleaded with the "North" NOT to run back to the North to defend their stations; believing that everyone had to maintain the offensive in the South no matter the cost. This was the agreed course of action between each alliance (D2, Sparta, MM, RZR etc etc), hense IRON emptied out their stations and left only one tower in each system: expecting an MC led op to happen at some point.
3.) Being disapointed with D2's/allies call for the rest of the North to retreat, just thought "well fine f*ck it then" since everyone ran home and left them holding their d*cks in Querious. Leading us to present day.
Now, i know its really groovy to be a Spartan that calls IRON cowards, but i'm getting sick of this attitude and chest beating.
If any of you had the slightest idea what went on during the so-called "Great War" then, if anything you'd probably empathise with IRON's decision to wash their hands of the North. They flew the flag high for the North during that war, one of the highest, and this is the way they get treated for other peoples shortcomings?
So can both sides please knock this off and show some respect.

Perhaps there's still hope for Sparta, as at least one sane mind is still among their members. IRON was one of the key members in The Great War, they were one of the few alliances actually able to go against BoB and MC with less numbers and still come out on top. Without them, the Querious front would have progressed totally different. At least they deserve respect for that.

With regard specifically to YouWhat and their politics, we tend to not often be too sure where they stand, so that tends to make us nervous about them. I've never fully understood what leads them to do what they do, I just know they have switched sides a few times and we shoot at each other fairly frequently.
They did aid MC in their Northern campaign and, as such, are red to us. Whether or not their actual political alignment has changed much since that time, I don't know. I don't talk to them.

Timing couldn't get worse, when MC and friends invaded the north. Normally, IRON wouldn't have pulled back when Deklein got invaded as stated before, but with The Great War priorities shifted. IRON had to relocate in order to keep that front stable or even push back the enemy. IRON didn't have a Capital Ship fleet, so we did what we did best, roaming around killing anything smaller than a Mothership while D2/SPARTA/FLA took care of the larger operations. Alas, D2 started to crumble, FLA had to withdraw to empire and Sparta soon turned sides. It was only after D2 crumbled and FLA and Sparta weren't to be depended on anymore as active ally, and MC and friends came to JU with 40 Capital Ships and a few Motherships, we realised we couldn't possible stop this advance. It was decided to save what resources we had and relocate to another area to lick our wounds.
The war started earlier for IRON than the rest of the North, they have fought long and hard, and their part in the big picture can't be neglected. I'm sure FIX/MC/BoB can testify to this, but of course this is CAOD so I doubt you'll get honest opinions here instead of biased propaganda.
That's pretty much how I remember everything going. IRON fought very hard in the south and often lead the coalition when we were fighting in Querious. Very good FCs is my recollection.
I believe the first MC capital died in Tribute to MM, though...during their contract before the war started. We were also the first to have Seleene's (and some other guy whose name escapes me) mom trapped, but a disconnect denied us the chance to see if we could get it taken down.

Regarding the first MC Capital loss, I'm unsure. Might have been MM, it's a little blurry. And the other Mothership was probably Waagaa who recently joined Evolution, he flies an Aeon.

i was fighting with the sparta guys in deklein on several occasions.
they allways acted honorable and how i would expect it from a mature
alliance. Even when there was an incident where i shot a renter of 'em
while beeing in one of their gangs (not-sorted standings) we where able
to solve that.
Kudos to you guys, keep up the good work, and
hope one day we are going to fight together again.

Ok seriously enough guys. All us northerners have been spending the last couple months calling this guy a coward, that guy a traitor, this guy a sell out and D2 a paper tiger blah blah blah.
FFS enough. We as a collective sucked. D2/FLA/Sparta/IRON/Razor/MM ..... We screwed up. We all made some big mistakes and there are a million different things we could have all done differently. Lets stop blaming certain groups for the fact that as a whole, we sucked. After our giant failure, people had to make hard decisions. Move on, learn from it and cut the crap. FFS this is an internet space ship game

Lore'ei, I'm guessing you are Khan Singh. If this is true, then i may as well not waste anymore time typing about your many faults.
I have yet to see IRON lie about anything, especially in this thread. While Sparta, FLA, D2 were up north in dek and branch, carebearing, FOR 4 MONTHS, we were down south fighting FIX, BOB, MC and the like. You had 4 more months to prepare, which we gave you. Had we not been south, you would have lasted perhaps 2 months, maybe less.
At the end of the Querious campaign (maybe march???) IRON was spent. We had used up everything we had, our wallets were empty, our cap ships blown up, and our stashes of t2 loot used up fighting. However, we fought outnumbered, EVERY DAY for the first 2 months, and then mostly even numbers for the next half (which was when we were playing station ping-pong). We managed to kill almost 7000 ships while losing less than 1500. But who cares, killboard stats are bad indicators of performance.
Yes, we did return to Deklein in March. However, WE KEPT FIGHTING. We fought until we could not afford anything anymore in Querious, then returned to our spare ships in Deklein and continued to fight up here. Meanwhile, YOU WERE STILL RATTING. I'm amazed that by this point you did not have a capital fleet and each pilot with billions, because we specifically told you to do so. We told you that we would give you time, so that when Dek was attacked and we could not fight anymore, you could hold off the onslaught. We also said that this time was all or nothing. That we would not defend our space, because we were going to give everything we had to fight BOB, and whatever they did would not cause us to pull out. However, they did not attack Dek as soon as was expected, and so we returned home to recuperate for a couple weeks and go back. We did not reinforce defenses, for we had nothing to fight with, no capital ships to speak of. When MC came, we knew Dek was no longer ours. Now, lets look at this from the SPARTA side. You have always decided that you wanted to control Deklein, from the conception of the alliance. Last time you had a chance to influence the region, to control it, you did so. However, you underestimated us, and died. We let you come back, thinking that you had changed and that you wanted to fight BOB, and god knows we needed all the help we could get. You took the opportunity, took the D2 stations that were offered, and went about ratting and building your own alliance. You did some raids in fountain, lost some ships and dreads and stuff, but NEVER really deployed. You were not living in hostile space for months at a time, you had a home to fall back on. In return, we expected you to defend our home and help us when we needed you to do so. We bought you 4 months of ratting and mining, billions of isk to build your caps and battleships while we were on the front lines.
When MC finally came north, you did not stand and fight. You saw us not fighting, too weak to resist, like we told you to expect. You saw FLA on its dying breaths, giving eveything they could. Instead of helping them, perhaps turning the tide, you said "**** this, lets stay in Deklein." You reset standings and pulled out of combat, sure. While this was not exactly being a turncoat, it was cowardly and self-centered. Next, you decided to go all the way, and ally with our enemies to spite us, to continue living in the space we gave you.
To the honest Sparta pilots out there, much respect for stepping out of line and standing up for the truth. If you get kicked for doing so, there is always a place for you in IRON. To the other responses, the facts are all over the place. Believe the **** you read here, or look for the truth elsewhere.
