To answer some of the additional questions and points raised over the weekend...
If you submitted a Bug Report prior to the bugs site changes you do not need to worry about it not having a category, we will sort that out as we filter the bugs.
To those who report issues and get feedback stating that we could not reproduce the bug, or something similar:
Please understand that there are many people working on filtering through the bugs you folks submit. As a result it is impossible for all responses to be uniform. Add to that the fact that there are some issues that are entirely dependent upon system configuration, current lag, or other specific circumstances that cause an issue to be harder to reproduce, or require more specific testing conditions for us to reproduce.
If a bug report is filtered and listed as not reproducible, or not enough info. We are simply letting you know that we could not replicate the issue given the information you described. In most cases adding a few more details about what was happening at the time, or more specific information about the conditions that occurred at the time you found the bug is all that is required for us to replicate the issue and then move it further through our defect process.
I am very pleased that you all seem happy with the changes. With all the improvements we've made recently we've been seeing a dramatic increase in both the quantity and quality of bug reports that we get each week, as a result we're having a little trouble keeping up, so you may see delays from the time you submit the bug until it's filtered. We are working on getting more resources and better ways to handle the bugs that come in, but if you'd like to help out please take a look here, the Bug Hunter team can always use more good people! You can apply by following this link.
What I would like is more constructive input and feedback from you all though. With regards to the bugs site, please post your suggestions, comments, etc. here. For other stuff, please feel free to start a new thread. We read the forums daily and we want your input.

Well, shortly after I posted my last comment I was informed that even more updates were ready for the bugs site. After reviewing them I approved them to be pushed live to the website and you can now see what patch your bug was, or will be, fixed in.
You should check out this thread for more info. ____________________________ I break things.

Is it possible to attach more than 1 file (and thereby bypass the 2mb limit), or will I have to make a new bug report in that case?
(There is an overview issue that you seem to want more logs for.)

You can edit/reopen the bug report and add more files that way. You can only submit 1 at a time, but you can attach multiples via this method. ____________________________ I break things.

Thank you.
On another note, I looked at an old bug report I made (about a problem with the forum that made it revert to the default character when using preview before posting). I noticed that some comments had been added :
///this within design of the cookie structure or bugged? ///looks like someones poor alt got exposed ///Runner
Line 2 made me laugh. If I'd been drinking something when reading it then the monitors would have needed cleaning. Unfortunately I don't remember if he was right or not about it, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I updated a bug report and added a file to it, but when I clicked on the bug report again the text I'd added was no longer there and I had to add it again.

If something is listed as attached, or fixed already when you update it it will not change the status that you see since it is still attached or fixed. ____________________________ I break things.

...which means that you won't see that it's updated either, right? And you won't look at it?

Wonderful. And even though this thread is 2 pages and the Nos/Khanid threadnaught has hit 28 and growing, I think the improved bug reports will end up affecting eve more in the long run. More bugs squashed will always mean a better game.

Actually, we do see updates to bug reports even after they are attached to an internal defect. Updated information would be taken into consideration, though occasionally the fix wont always make it out to a public test server until it's close to being deployed to tranquility. In cases like that it is quite probable that the fix is there, it's just not been put out to the public yet so you have not seen it yet.
On an average day we look at 50 to 100 bug reports. On average we will have a bug reprot processed within 12 to 72 hours after it is submitted. Now depending on the exact report it may take longer for us to process it, especially if it involves something that takes time to setup, waiting periods , etc.
We also monitor the help channels, forums, and are in constant contact with the GM team.. we are always on the lookout for issues, bugs, problems, server explosions. So rest assured we most certainly pay attention to what you guys report to us, along with our regular testing and monitoring. ____________________________ I break things.

Yup, I noticed that when I got a reply about the one I'd updated

That's a lot of bug reports
Just fix mine and ignore some of the others will you?

you look at 50 to 100 bugs a day, and process them in 12 to 72 hours... which is nice... until you find out that a player submits a bug (Twice in my case) with easy step by step instructions that on the live server results in a 100% reproducible bug (this means I can make this happen EVERY TIME) but you are not able to reproduce the problem... all of a sudden, looking at 50 to 100 tickets and processing them in 12 to 72 hours is not so impressive...
