From time to time I find myself needing to give a little "hint" to certain chars but can't and want to do it myself.
So I need some corp who can suicide gank and preferrably pod chars which might mostly be in NPC-Corps and might fly around in differenty sized ships.
msg me ingame to make an offer. |

Well, if you want whatever drops to be yours, you better be willing to pay a premium for it. |

Ofcourse I want the loot, I want to cripple my competition and not just shift it to someone else. Plus I would just name fat targets for gankers, don't see why I should pay for that.
So what does premium mean? Can someone just give me a number? |

They're not a fat target if you take all the ******* loot.

Stop being so vague and maybe someone will offer something useful. "Some industrials, maybe transports..." isn't helpful. The cost almost certainly depends on how many ganks you want, what type of ship they're going to be (a tanked mastodon is going to cost you a ******* lot more than a Badger) and just how much loot they're going to have to be giving up to you. |

You don't seem to realise what you are asking. If we wanted KM's we'd just gank left, right and centre. However, we gank fat targets to both profit and replace our wrecked ships as we GET NO INSURANCE PAY OUT. Therefore, giving you loot rights to EVERYTHING makes this an exercise in STUPIDITY.
You wan't to cripple your competition? Then you have to pay a premium(e.g. a value to make it worth it to the gankers). An example; Killing a freighter = 21 tornado's roughly. Which is in excess of fully fitted 1.5 billion isk and therefore leaving the gankers out of pocket by 1.5 billion. To make it worth it, you'd not only have to match this expenditure, you'd have to beat it. 21 players are going to want more then just a few mil isk per person, you're looking at doubling the ship loss value, more if you're ganking particularly valuable cargo such as BPO's or capitol components. So 3 billion(after the 1.5 billion) cost divided by 21 is only roughly 71 mil each. Or roughly barely worth it as you can make much more in pve/ratting/ransoms for less effort in an hour. Market dominance is expensive, if you can't afford it, stick to 0.01 isk trading games.

I was not talking about freighters, but indus (1-2 tornadoes) and transport ships (4-6 tornadoes).
Also, why should I pay a few 100 millions of ISK to give gankers intel on what targets might be worth ganking because they might drop billions in loot? That is just stupid.
So, is 200 mill per char involved + ships+fitting + half of the *value* of the loot a number to start? |

The first sentence has considerably covered, but you should pay "a few 100 millions of ISK" because you want to make it appealing to the gankers and worth their time. If you want to hire people to make a target dead in highsec, then it will cost a fair bit.
EDIT: You probably should join the Merc channel in-game, to find some quotes. I can understand if you are a little hesitant to give out too many details on the forums, but with the information we have all we can say is "It'll cost a bit, depending on what they fly and where." |

You Sir are an idiot.
Just pay somebody to gank and scoop up the loot without telling them. Say you wanna be on KM so they take you along.
After gank you have concord around so unles you are in a badger.... take something that cant be ganked immedeatly and in the commotion just scoop it and get lost.
Pay gankers.
Case solved.
Man you need a carebear to teach you how ganking is done.... Gues you are one of those that cannot be saved... My ego is the the size of my carriers jump range. |

This man speaks words of wisdom.
Also OP, you've claimed you want to keep all the loot, that was the point of my post. You're making the point of telling us who has good loot, but you seem to think its the kill mail worth billions of isk we want while you keep the left over loot. No, we simply want the loot for fun and profit. A kill mail is just enjoyable bragging rights for naming and shaming later.
Join the Merc channel, offer up what you think is fair, hopefully someone takes up the contract. But you won't find much outside of Hulkageddon for 20mil a ship or so while you keep the loot.
Edit - Looking over your offers, 200mil retainer + half the loot and you paying for ships sounds like a decent enough contract, you should be fine |

ASTARTES CORP Suicide Gank Quote -
1) The cost of ships & mods to be used must be provided upfront.
2) All involved members receive 20 million isk per 30 minutes of camping; to be paid out at the end of the camp regardless of success or failure.
3) Once the target's ship has been eliminated ASTARTES CORP will scoop the loot, then contract the loot to the employer at half the Jita market value of the loot.
Step 3 is nonnegotiable & protects the employer from being scammed out of high cost upfront fees. It also assures ASTARTES CORP receives a fair payment on their work.
If the target is a pod ASTARTES CORP charges half the value of the corpse's implants or 50 Million which ever number is larger.
We hope you decide to choose ASTARTES CORP for all your high-sec griefing needs.

So hypothetically, after the "mercs" gank the target for you, what is their incentive to give you any of the loot(assuming it is worth more than what you are paying them)?
As the loot would rightfully be theirs for killing the target, it would basically be like they are paying you for the gank. |

The only incentive the gankers would have would be the OP's word that he can provide future juicy targets.....If they don't believe that they have absolutely no reason to give him anything at a discount at all.
Of course, if the OP merely gave up on getting any of the loot, most gankers would do it for ONLY getting 100% of the loot drop to themselves if the targets are juicy enough - just tell them who to tank, when, and where and if their scanning alt confirms the value the target will die....and it won't cost you a cent I don't log in - I don't need to. My very existence griefs people. They see my name, and they instinctively fill with rage and indignation. Deny it all you want - but if you didn't care, you wouldn't have posted, would you? |

Good thread with all the different perspectives.
After giving this some more thought I still come to the conclusion that I am not willing to pay for intel on potentially good targets. If I tell you what bank is easy to rob I expect a cut from the money you make from a heist, not pay you to give you that intel.
However, given what I want to achieve I will change my offer:
I can give any chars/corps operating around Jita info on potentially high value targets. Add them to your watchlist, follow them, decc their corps, take your time. Once you catch them with high value cargo blow them up and receive
a) a 100m payout for each char actively involved in the kill (flat fee,no ships and fittings) b) 105% of current jita market sell-value (=buy orders) for a certain group of items which I will name beforehand when giving you the intel.
Both of the above will require an API-verified killmail ofcourse.
Any thoughts on that?

Well, deccing the corp will give a heads up to the target, which will make them less likely to move high value goods during the dec time, unless they are braindead.
However, would you also be willing to pay the cost of wardeccing the target? |
