Felysta Sandorn Caldari System-Lords	Posted - 2007.07.09 20:20:00 - [1] So, I'm buzzing about in my Crow, scouting a large Huzzah gang that manage to push a Sabre (D-L Alliance) off the gate... He's moving about 4.8k/s towards me, so I think I may as well engage... I can move at 5.6k/s, so maybe I can do something... Either way it'll be a great fight... We start dogfighting, I keep switching my orbits between 15, 20, 25, 30, trying to get the best range on him to hold my scram and be in range of missiles, while safely staying outside his web range. I reckon this is a gutsy move anyway, considering I've only got Interceptor lvl 3 and no caldari skills (no t2 missiles or anything). So we dogfight for at least 5 minutes, with the Huzzah gang looking on, shouting 'Go! Kill that Crow' or 'Come on Crow, get that Sabre'... We spark up quite an audience with this high octane battle... Thing is, every now and then he gets a hit on me, but my missiles always hit (though do near no damage)... We start going down at the same rate, albeit very slowly... Just as I'm about to type something along the lines of 'Win or lose, this is an awesome fight', he starts warping in friends. My overview, sorted by distance, starts to grow, and I see about 7-8 people near the top within 30km. Being an insanely speedy battle, we soon get out of most of the pilots range, but an Ares and another Sabre catch me up and manage to kill me... Two bubbles drop, and I lose my pod as well... Never mind, it's only a Crow and a set of +3 implants, but it's the principle really... Latest Video, Click Here!
Indigo Johnson Minmatar	Posted - 2007.07.09 20:33:00 - [2] Nice story. There is seldom a fair fight in Eve though, whether that is a good or a bad thing depends on who you talk too (good imo). With hingsight, as soon as the fight was in his favour, calling it quits may have been the order of the day. Good luck next time
Corwain Gallente Kamite	Posted - 2007.07.09 21:06:00 - [3] I find it a very lucky thing that the Huzzah gang just sat and watched. Usually you're toasted by anyone you see that can bring the heat pretty quick in 0.0. You got lucky once, don't push your luck for a whole 30min fight! :-P

Instead, I can imagine all the guys on that alliance saying on their TS/VT server 'HELP HELP! I NEED AT LEAST SIX PEOPLE TO HELP ME KILL A SHIP!'... To me, that's what seperates a skillfull corporation/alliance, with players that like the game for what it is, not just when they win, to a corp/alliance that doesn't have any skill, and just play for some distant endgame. At this time 4 of its friend warp in repair him and pop me quick and he had start the fight. well most of people who are loosing or bored of a fight mostly all call friend ;)

Eventually i got him locked, the fight started, and then "BAM" local flooded, i warped cloaked and laughed at my stupidity. "In eve, there is no fair" - The mods shall not have my sig, if they do i'll kill CCP's hamsters. kill 'em! we have backup gerbils - Deckard kills any rodents of any kind for good measure ha!

If you randomly start a fight with them in space, then it's entirely reasonable for them to have their friends come in and gank you; they've had no assurance from you that you're not going to do exactly the same thing to them. You got lucky once, don't push your luck for a whole 30min fight! :-P Well as everyone red to us were speedtanked and we were not we knew the futility of trying to do anything so we enjoyed the little dogfight 300k away. "sabre, get that crow!" was yelled. We were actually hoping to see a spontaneous 1 v 1 duel (it like seeing a solar eclipse these days, very rare) but soon the D-L guys swarmed the crow and popped it. We did use the opportunity (wreck) to hop into, but speed tank still wins in those situations so off they went.

Everytime I find one up for a fight I scream in intel channels DONT COME IN HERE, as I have a method for tackling and killing them but they normally will disengage when blobbed. It is more fun doing your dirty work alone in the dark ahem Sounds like you had a fun fight regardless of the ending, and consider it flattery that he needed support. - Ideas are my business...maybe thats why I'm always skint!
