Found one issue so far: Tracking Enhancer II has the check mark next to it to toggle it on or off, when it cant be turned off.

Go to your EFT/Setups/ directory. Each of your saved setups is here as a .cfg file. This .cfg file is just a text file with a funny extension. Copy, edit, import at your leisure.

However, one small nitpick: I think some of the faction scramblers have slightly wrong ranges due to how the in-game info is given. All that have 10km range in EFT (DB, DG, RF) should have 10.5km range, and all that have 11km range (TS, Domi) should have 11.25km range. -- Gradient forum |

Nice one, thank you. Didn't even realise the .dat files were stored as hex until you posted that >_<
For the non-hex inclined, the above patch fixes the Orca's Shield Regeneration time it was originally 800s, and should be 2100s. I uploaded a "fixed" Ships.dat here - simply browse to the EFT folder, and download "Ships.zip" extract it, then overwrite the Ships.dat in your EFT/Data directory with the one from the zip file.

Hey, I'm having a problem downloading the latest version of EFT. All previous versions have worked fine so I'm not sure what's up here.
Basically, whenever I try to unzip the file it crashes Windows Explorer. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit and I haven't been monkeying around with anything so I don't know what's wrong really.
Anyone got any ideas?

Re-download it, you probably got a corrupted copy. and download if from a different mirror than the last one. and you know what, for the love of god stop reading my sig \o/ |

There's TONS of archiving programs in the world, and every first one can deal with ZIP's. WinRAR, 7-zip, TUGZip, WinACE - just to name a few. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

I'm almost sure they are a raw Pascal records dump. Even if not, it's safe enough to hexedit some values while you keeping structure length the same. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

CPU math problem version 2.9.1
I have a CPU problem that causes EFT to show a fitting to work, but when I put it into the game it does not.
I am fitting a Mackinaw, my Electronics skill is at 5 and I have a T2 Co-Processor. Mackinaw CPU = 198 * 1.25 (electronics 5) * 1.1 (Co-Processor) * 1.03 (implant) = 280.42 which is what I get from Eve. EFT show that ship to have a CPU of 285.86 causing me to use more CPU than is available.
There is nothing new under the sun so this has probably already been addressed, but I wanted to let you know.

It seems to me that you have 5% hardwire in your EFT character editor profile. Change it to 3% hardwire and you will get the same results you will in game.

I used EFT for a Hurricane Salvage setup, 1x10MN MWD, 6xExpanded Cargo II's and 3xSalvage Tackle I's. EFT says my top speed is 897m/s which was correct before fitting the Salvage Tackles (both on EFT and ingame).
With the Salvage Tackles, my ingame speed dropped to 714m/s (I got armor rigging I).
Just thought I would report the bug if no one else saw it.

hey guys, i am having trouble launching the EFT 2.9.1, everytime i try, either, my virus protection blocks it, and when i make windows unblock it, then windows blocks it, here is the thing i get when i try to open it:
Windows Cannot Access the specified device, path or file. You May not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
i run my computer as administrator, i tryed EFT on Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003
and it only seems to work on windows server 2003.
can any1 give me some advices on how to make it run on XP or Vista ?

Looks like the speed penalty from the rigs is being subjected to the stacking penalty in EFT, but not in-game. --

A noticed a bug when I was working on a Kronos fit. It seems that the Kronos doesn't get the 25% hybrid weapon damage from having BS5 in EFT. I changed my BS skill from 5-0 even and no change in turret damage. So turns out the Kronos will do even more damage then EFT says.. awesome

Vischar, the marauder requires lvl 5 to fly it, so its bonus is already integrated into the calculation.
Their is no bug, its a feature!!!

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I couldn't pull myself to look through 95 pages of this thread to find a possible answer to my problem.
It's not a big problem, it doesn't keep me from using EFT, but I use Windows Vista, and for some reason none of the icons in EFT show up when using the program. I used to run XP and they showed up fine there. Is there a fix to this, is it a common problem?

I have found a discrepancy with the Crane. According to EFT I cannot fit a MWD and a cloak without a PDU. This is not the case as I have one that works perfectly fine ingame.

Edited by: Shareeth on 07/12/2008 03:33:16 Tracking Enhancer 1 gives a greater bonus than Tracking Enhancer II and the numbers are off. base range with multifrequency crystal an' mega modulated energy beam I is 30+19 with tracking enhancer II (which is actualy TE I) it's 35+19 but in game it shows 33+19. i did triple check to make sure all the mods and implants were exactly the same. i dont have a TE II to compare it to the TE I (which is actually TE II) in eft to see if that number is also incorrect.
[Edit] I looked at the named mods and they're all less optimal than both TE I and TE II, so i'm pretty sure those aren't being calucated right either.
