Edited by: iPod LoSec on 23/06/2007 12:21:53 Most of the ppl here are: #1 Sweden/Norway people #2 Telenor or Bredbandsbolaget (Telenor) customers.
Do the math. And the UK ppl are just having similar routing problem with thier respective ISP. I really doubt this is a CCP related thing.

Now call me a skeptic but I strongly doubt reinstalling XP will have any effect what so ever on web based traceroute services. And it is tracerouts from various computers all over the world that fails to reach 87.237.38.200. Several of them not even running PC hardware nor MS OSes. But even the failure of my local traceroute program can't possibly be related to any errors in the EVE client.

There ar a lot of free proxy servers up.. most are web proxies tho... with a little effort you might find one for inect connectivity.. MS has such a proxy program... Google "Accessing internet via proxy server" and you will probably find something that will work.

Reinstalling Windows will help this problem about as much as changing the sparkplugs in your car will help you connect better to eve. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the problem.
Please stop the guessing and get "networking for blathering idiots" book or something. The Tracerts show you the problem.. end of friggin story.

To those people with 2 computers that one of which is able to connect... can you please open RUN-> type: cmd <enter> Then type ipconfig /all at the dos prompt and copy the results of the 2 connections here...
I am sure you will find a different gateway is bieng used on the one that works than the one that doesnt. That information would be very usefull to the rest of us.

Do I think a problem that occured in February 2004 has something to do with the current connectivity problems regarding EVE Online? No.

Lol... guessing... excellent strategy. Try pulling out your processor and putting it in the other way... Or put a really strong magnet on your hard drive.. maybey the magnetic resonance is weak.
Or... and this is just a silly idea... Listen to what everyone is saying and realise that its a router issue that wont be solved till the ISPs involved reboot thier routers on... wait for it................................................... MONDAY.

Since yesterday evening I can't connect to eve because server status is unknow, same like you guys. This is happening for both accounts and both computers. I live in Bergen, Norway and I use Telenor ISP. I will wait until Monday so that Telenor to have time to reboot the router. Then we will now if is Telenor or CCP relater issue.

We know for sure what the problem is.. only you dont... and we cant spell it out any clearer. And NOTHING will help you short of breaking in to Telenors server room in Svensby and rebooting it yourself...
Thats that... speculate more if you like it still wont chance the facts.
iPod LoSec - Try buying a new computer... That might help. OR .. Swallow your head.

Just made an interesting discovery: Two of my computers can't reach 87.237.38.200, but my laptop can. It's connected via Wi-Fi and my wireless router says it has the same gateway as my two other computers. The only thing that differs is the IP-range.
My two desktop computers (that can't connect) are in 85.228.51.* and 85.228.48.*. My wireless router is in 85.228.53.*.
Traceroute from laptop:

Compare that traceroute to my earlier one. The problems start after the node ti9002b300-ae0-0.ti.telenor.net [146.172.105.90], so it might very well be Telenor's router that is acting up.

So this is Telenors new strategy that was in the news, that they will require payment from major content providers to pay for access through their network...
