make sure you move eve window to your "main" screen. probably, only that one is hardware accelerated (3d)

Edited by: Damien Smith on 10/06/2007 22:13:50 I run dual clients on dual monitors in windowed mode and know exactly what you're talking about. When you startup your main client (mine for example runs @ 1920x1200 on a screen that has 1920x1200 as its native res) it looks like it's centered on the main screen but there's a tiny tiny little overlap onto the second screen, which runs at 1280x1024. This is what causes the massive frame rate drop.
Every time I start my main client, and I mean every singe time, I get that few seconds of 1fps lag until I drag the title bar and drag the window to the left, so it's definitely not touching the right screen. I then move the window to the right so it's just touching but not overlapping the divide.
My main client has its graphics settings set to load on the primary gfx adapter, the client that runs my alt is set to the secondary adaptor. Now the secondary client always opens on the left screen, and has the same lag but as soon as I drag it to the secondary monitor its fine.
Cliffs: Main client, primary screen - set it to primary gfx adaptor in gfx settings, drag it to the left on starting to make sure it's not overlapping the divide between screens.
Secondary client, secondary screen - it'll open on the primary screen every time and lag, but will be fine once you drag it to the secondary screen.
If anyone knows of a way to force the secondary client to open on the secondary screen and make me not have to drag it, please let me know.

Here is the answer to your problems, its called EVE Launcher and can be found here http://eve.grismar.net/evelauncher/
Features blurb from the website
òconfigure up to 4 clients; òsetup hotkeys for: oswitching to a client (optionally in semi-fullscreen); ohiding a client (for when your boss walks in ^^); orelaunching a client (to get that alt fast); òclear the entire cache with a single button (or preserve the settings, including your bookmarks); òrestore the cache (or settings) when your problem wasn't solved by clearing it.
