Edited by: Shirow Miyazaki on 06/06/2007 15:55:48 I've noticed that when firing beam lasers that a line pointing exactly opposite to the direction that they're firing appears, which looks very strange:

Is this supposed to be there, as it looks like it should be part of the laser effect, its been around for a while, and i'm guessing that nobody's noticed as nobody uses lasers except me :P |

That's been around for ages. I don't think it's supposed to happen, however.

I had my railguns fire at 90¦ of what they should have in a mission, but as I was never able to reproduce it, I couldn't fill any bug report...

Same thing happens with the tractor beam. For a couple of seconds, the target and the beam disappear in another direction. Looks like it's showing the beam before calculating the target coordinates.
Maybe Someone had the flowchart upside down when they coded it

Edited by: Cain Calzon on 06/06/2007 19:41:05 all the guns and some other modules do that effect aswell, but its very hard to se it on artillerys since their firing animation is so short. some module except guns that comes to mind are the shield/energy/armor transporters. they behave the same way and this bug have been around for a very long time

I know about it with the tractor beams. It always looks as if the cargo can (and animation) were beamed into the sun briefly, to reappear where they should be.
