What is the largest ship class that a crow could take on solo, and come out victorious, assuming that the target was scrammed and sensor dampened?
Current crow setup:
Highs: 3 Dread Guristas Standard Missile Launcher (Bloodclaw missiles)
Mediums: 1 Gistii A-Type MWD 1 T2 Warp Disruptor 1 T2 Sensor Damp
Lows: 1 CPR II 1 Overdrive Injector II 1 T2 Inertial stabilizer
Rigs:
1 X Capacitor control circuit I 1 X polycarbon engine housing
Any suggestions on my setup to squeak more speed out or possibly maintain speed with greater damage? |

drop the one dampener... fit cap recharger II instead.
Drop cap rig, fit 2nd poly rig, and change the inertia stab for another overdrive.
Also, if you want to gank with an inty, perhaps you should try taranis.
You do realize, that this setup does like 50 dps right?

I'm thinking that my speed is alright, so would there be any benefit to my throwing on a missile damage rig or a ROF rig?
The sensor damp is for small gangs, so that larger targets cannot target me and throw drones out. Is there benefit to my dropping the damp, adding the Cap recharger II, and possibly dropping the CPR for a BCU II?
I realize that inties aren't exactly the best solo gank ship because of the lack of damage, but if i can immobilize an enemy and make him unable to target me, then i can win the fight, even if it takes a couple minutes. At least that was the thought process behind this setup. |

You know, even with skills, you won't make the majority of the ships not lock you with just one dampener.
Look in my sig perhaps.
And uhm, what stops your enemy from just slowboating back to a gate etc? Honestly, if you want to solo with inty, you should probably try neutron gank taranis and try to kill some haulers or something.
Or maybe a crusader... it has more damage than crow and doesn't have to go into webrange.
Crow is a nice tackler, but it's severly overrated imo, I really don't recommend soloing in one.

I think with 3 standard launcher IIs and 3 BCS II (had to turn off most of my mids for that cpu), I got a crow up to about 80 DPS.. if memory serves right, about 195 dmg per missile @ 7-8s RoF. A taranis would definitly get you more damage.. just with a 5km range instead of 50km.

A taranis can get around 300 dps, with the meds turned on too. ----

Well, not 300...
More like 230-250 with a normal fitting, but yes, you can't really compare taranis dps to crow dps.
And to the OP, I am glad you found your solution :)

wont the taranis just scramble you whilst mwding?
my general crow setup is:
highs: 3x nothing. maybe some rockets. 1x cloak
meds: 1x gisti a type MWD 1x dark blood warp disruptor :D 1x cap recharger II
lows: 3x domination (or tech 2) overdrive injectors
rigs:
them poly things
get's me up to about 12km/sec or about 13-14km/sec with full gang bonuses. I orbit at a distance of 27-29km (it varies) and there's very, very few ships that can stop me scrambling them. Usually it's for the gang to arrive, since i rarely use any weapons :D
expensive to lose though :(

Edited by: Ryysa on 01/06/2007 16:51:12 With 3x overdrives you can't run your disruptor for any reasonable amount of time.
Also, I believe that 2x overdrives + 1x istab would give better orbit velocity.
Either way, I use 2x cpr's and sensor booster in mid. Alternative is 1 cpr and 1 cap recharger II. That's the minimum with maxed out skills to have a cap stable setup.

overdrives dont alter your cap usage. The MWD and disruptor run for about 65 seconds, more than enough time for a gang to warp in and take over :)
I get a huge orbit velocity due to the 2 rigs, and at 27-29km, agility isn't a problem :D

Thank you einstein, I really didn't know that ;)
65 seconds is nothing btw... but I guess you'll figure that out someday.

Wrong. I use a small cap battery II and my setup runs permanently, t2 mwd and t2 disruptor.

And you leave your highs empty?
Since there's no way in hell you're fitting launchers in there with small cap battery II in mid.
