Although there have been lightly organized pvp squadrons in the past we heard many of them winding up in disaster and few successful ones.
So few of the veterans pilots belonging to people with main characters in allainces and mercs and pirate corperations put thier differences aside (if you been in any noob corp you would know about how many bobby vs coal or appels vs oranges convos start up ) to see if such thing was possible to pull off. These two reports based on actual events proved that yes it was possible to teach a fresh less than a week old fledging how to take it back to the gankers.
So the classes where born and people attended very eager to learn as alot of them are honestly afraid of getting blown up to bits. All the pretraining we do now will prevent losses further down the road when the pilots resolve are hardened and at least they wont be clueless on how to act when the time comes down to it when they are on thier own later on, or at least it will make thier losses alot less easier to stomach as we already exposed them to the harshness in eve. We asked all the pilots to think what it was like for to be like the pilots whos ships we liberated from them and how they would feel. The general answer of embarassment was resounding and we discussed that we would never want any of pilots to be in the same position and to accept certain fate of fights.
We havent taught the advanced squad fighting such as baiting and fishing and a few more like the rabbit hole and the jaws of death because many of our veteran pilots never fleet commanded before so this is becoming a learning experince for them as well.
This was the first highly organized squadron assemebeled with set rules and instructions and laid out plan on the flow chart and we got resources put into it such as instructor pilots such as myself and the donated vent and team speak servers, there was even talks of getting a killboard which would be beyond amusing but it will let us keep track of student pilots however.
Although we have goon like tatics for now we hope to transcend this methodology the fact we had a griffen providing what caldari does best, target denail, along with another pilots making it even further difficult to lock the frigates is proof we are slightly above the goons trying to truely use our numbers to our advanatage instead of uselessly throwing oursevles to the slaughter. We have future plans on getting a fleet command vessel along with mixed group ships as players who carebared to long are showing in interest and are wanting to bring other various craft out to test thier flight characteristics in a pvp combat situation thus this will slowly turn the small frigate gangs into something of a challenge to fight, the only thing that gives our opponents the advantage is the lack of experince, these lessons seek to eliminate that.
I also have plans on talks with a few pos owners in the lower sectors on training for pos raids post revelations 2 in exchange for some isk or fuel of sorts the details are still being worked out. If we can get a training pos setup for us then we can teach pilots on the newer aspects of territorial combat.
When you can get a pilot to brag before they join thier first player corp that they took down dozens of ships in organized combat. Im sure that will be good on anyones resume, I just hope we dont get to many pernament students because this might keep them in SWA.

Now, to answer a few questions some of you might be asking.
The main purpose of the SWA PvP training squadron is, of course; to train SWA pilots to be able to operate in PvP be it large fleet, small gangs, or (as was the case last night at 02:00) medium sized frigate and other disposable ships. This way, when SWA pilots leave SWA and join corps on their own, they live up to their namesake State War Academy graduates. Of course, to preserve the integrity of SWA, we have yet to engage anyone in such a manner that it would cause us to lose sec status (that will include any 0.0 operations)
Yes, there are alts involved in the program, I know for a fact that most of the people in charge are alts. However, we are not "throw away alts" or by any means "a bunch of recyclable trial accounts". We're just mostly mission running alts who know how to PvP, and want others to know how to PvP as well, so we can all be one big PvPing family.
Now, we did overwhelm the two ships that we blew up. 24 ships on one myrmidon is over kill, as is 7 ships against one Hawk (would've been the full 24 but the system was large causing a lot of frigs to prematurely drop out of warp), granted unless you have enough ships to over power any ship you may encounter, you'd be hard pressed to get any honest to gosh noob-corp member involved. Overall I count this as a successful start for the program, the pilots involved have learned the most important lessons to learn in PvP, those being that they can get out there and PvP, that PvP is the most interesting aspect of EvE, and that Ventrillo can get as bad as the local bar during happy hour (ZOMG WHO GAVE THE NOOB CORP VENTRILLO?!?!)

Yeah Kudos to the guys, glad to see you found another target after I had to knock out for sleepy time. When me and a couple of the guys got together and decided that we ought to have some fun in SWA, we had about 8 guys lined up, and the next thing we knew, we had 25 people roaming a system...So I condiser this an unmitigated success and you will be sure to see more operations to come, hopefully with more organization, and maybe next time some of the guys will be able to afford to lose a cruiser or two. Heaven help you all if we can get someone to train leadership and some fleet skills
Thanks again to Mistress PewPew for the free condors and FCing, Stellar Vix and the PVP lectures and tactics discussions(not to mention the PR), To everyone who fitted EW, and all the Rocket Kessys who showed up, because everyone loves a rocket Kessy.

As a Member of a Caldari founded corporation, when we see fresh players performing this kind of operations for their schools of training,we can say this kind of experience is worth more than skill points. It also warms the cold dead heart of the Musashi to see his fellow SWA pilots getting together to accomplish something more than themselves. SWA forever.

Please do not send me donations, or bug me about letting you recruit from these pilots.
The SWA PVP Training program is Setup to teach new pilots on how to pvp without forcing members to leave SWA.
Because of the Nature of the Program I have sworn with every fiber of my character that I will not let this turn into a Recruting Tool for outside corps. I see to it that we will not take sides politically, you shoot the training group and the safe to shoot commands are sent are free to fire back. If you are in a security status which makes you an enemy of all empire states, will also result in an engagement regaurdless of who shot first. and we will not attack any civillian craft. In other words there are targets and non targets, how you present yourself to us will determine this.
We do accept donations but they are on an individual basis, WE cannot gaurantee any donation will make it to its proper usage, there are no trusted members set aside to handel this nor do we have any means of monitoring the donations, few sponsors have creating SWA alt sponsor hubs to dol out the donations themselves to the student pilots, donations acceptable are prefitted newb friendly frigates, and basic pvp books as well as time for pilot instruction. I have constantly asked pilots to report any recruiting attempts to me or any other instructor of the group so we can correct the defientcy in our neutrality. Any an all sponsors that would like to observe the group to see thier donations are properly used are invited to accompany the patrols in ashuttlecraft at their own risk. Or create and SWA alt to directly participate I will not have non SWA members to join the patrols in an combat vessel.
Finally STOP SENDING ME CORP INVITES, especially you new corps which I can probably school the entire corp about how to run it. You dont want me stealing your corp now do you? I also got a role to fulfill in SWA, you going have to pay me alot to pry me out of here, and trust me my asking price isnt worth it. This is an awsome idea. One that I hope will soon change the way how people will look at newb corps, and help reinforce a better learning experience for rookies and aspiring fleet commanders. This is an opprotunity for BOTH aspects of further growth in PvP education... and just plain having fun with our events.
We also have set up mailing lists and our own channel (hopefully soon "channels") so that we can all keep in good touch... outside the noobish corp chat. ^_^

The reason why it didnt goto events is probably the mixed character of an animal it is, this isnt an offical CCP statement so its not really a IGS, this isnt an offical statement of SWA, and SWA is a noobie corp thus it dont go into COAD. Im probably just as confused where this or the program we started would go, there now talks of monthly tornaments among the student pilots for prizes as well, we got appox 30 students enrolled now and about 4-5 instructors. More instructors wouldnt hurt as it will increase our ability to teach and field more 'classes'

We are looking for a kill board manager now, to set us up killboard ( there seems to be a low grade free version of this as it was explained to me) We need a kilboard to people can keep track of the kills made by the student and confirm lost ships for replacement.

When it comes to pvp we toss all afilliations aside, I know that one of the other instructors is a southern colation alt but we dont shoot each other. Like I said this wont be a recruiting outlet what so ever, I would disown this program if it gets to that point. Recruiters will have to get pilots here the standard way. They'll just hopefully wind up with slightly better prepared pilots.

This class looks like an excellent opportunity for fellow pod pilots to learn, and possibly enjoy, policing low-sec space. CONCORD is currently heavily taxed on resources while policing high-security space, which is one of the reasons that low-security space is infested with lawless entities.
Please remember to only engage pilots that are known to have violated CONCORD laws and regulations. Failure to comply with CONCORD laws and regulations could result in your ship being impounded, or in lieu of that, destroyed.
Known violators of CONCORD laws and regulations will appear on your ship's interface as flashing red. These entities may be engaged at will.
