So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

Edited by: VoxDei on 09/01/2004 13:13:37 Confirmed on behalf of Atandros' team (No. 19). Which we still don't have a name for. Just call us 'Draconis' for now I think... :)
Atandros is having account problems at the moment. If the worst comes to the worst can we fiddle with the team membership up to the time of the first match?

I was wondering where you were going to post the rules. It would be nice to prep the team with the right equipment, missiles and drones
Thanks in advance Alaric

Edited by: Miso on 09/01/2004 17:46:03 Subject to slight alterations, but basically they rules are this:
Eve Frigate League Rules
Participants may only fly frigates. All race ships are allowed.
The following modules are not permitted:
a)Torps, Heavy and Cruise missiles û all light missiles and rockets are permitted b)All drones bar light scout drones c)EW modules. This includes sensor dampeners, although sensor boosters are permitted
All other ship modules are allowed.
Each team will consist of 5 members plus 1 reserve. The team members can be from any corp. Please refrain from using alts.
Each team must have a designated captain. It is the captains responsibility that all frigates comply with the loadout regulations.
Failure to comply with load out regulations will result in immediate expulsion from league.
Team captains will also be sent fixture details for their next match. The fixture details will include opponent, location, time and date. These details will be sent to you by the match referee. If the allotted time is not convenient then convo or evemail the referee and let them know. They will then arrange another suitable time.
Procedure for match
After entering the match system, participants will be asked to warp to a location by the referee. The referee will then prepare the designated arena for the match, usually at a moon or planet.
The referee will warp to the location and immediately drop a container. The referee will then move a further 80km from the can and deposit another. When this is done, the referee will invite each team to the arena seperately. The first team will move to the furthest container, the second to the warp in container.
When the teams are ready, and the referee is ready, the referee will give the go ahead to start the match.
If at anytime during the bout a team member warps away from the designated area, that members team will default a 0-5 loss. If a team member strays too far away from the refereeÆs marker cannisters, then the referee has the power to disqualify the offender.
Scoring
The scoring system is simple and rewards teams that work well together. If Team A beats Team B with 3 frigates remaining, then Team A will be awarded 3 points. If they win with 1 frigate remaining, they are awarded 1 point and so on.
Poddings
There are to be NO PODDINGS during matches. In case of a podding, the match referee will decide what, if any further action should be taken.
The team responsible for the podding will recompense the person podded for ship, clone and implants IN FULL. They will not be allowed to participate further in the league until these costs have been paid.
DO NOT POD!!!
Matches are arranged between refereeÆs and team captains. Location and times are decided by mutual consent. If a team fails to show for an arranged match, that team will default a 5-0 loss.
RefereeÆs will be given a full list of matches they are to arrange and referee.
All results and match reports are to be submitted to Miso, via email.
The teams will be split into two pools: A and B
The teams will play each other once in their respective pools. The top 5 after all the matches have been played will qualify for the knockout stages.
Clarification and slight changes to follow.

Thanks Miso!
This is going to be SOOO much fun I can hardly wait.
I'd better get started on making extra frigates! This could jump start the demand for frigs
When are we going to know which pool we are in, and who else is in that pool?
Thanks Alaric

One other question, jettison cans, what's the rule going to be? Winner of the field keeps everything or a chance to pick up your stuff after the battle?
And while I'm thinking of it, Rats! What happens if there's a spawn while the match is on? Goes the ref take out the spawn or is it just hope for the best or divide your firepower @ your own risk? Thanks Alaric

Edited by: VoxDei on 09/01/2004 20:07:03 I'd forgotten - we're called 'Ryubushi', which apparently means Dragon Warriors or something like that in Japanese.
And can I suggest that warping out *doesn't* cause an immediate 5-0 loss, just that warping out and then back in again should? Nothing wrong with running away, if you want to...
EDIT: Although obviously any ship which runs away should count as destroyed for scoring purposes.
