I hit launcher, little E shows up in taskbar for about 2-3 seconds then just goes away. No error messages or anything just disappears and launcher never launches.
I uninstalled and re-installed 2-3x. Even changing the install directory to an entire different drive. I also tried using revo-uninstaller to make sure it was fully uninstalled as well as manually erasing all local -appdata.
What else can I do here?.... |

kindof surprised no one here had anything to say, anyhow its a bug I'll have to report.
Apparently if you disable the monitor the launcher was last used on the whole launcher will just crash every time. Please note I said disable, not unplug.

I have no luck in reproducing this - must be more to it than simply two monitors. Do you have two different video cards driving these monitors?
Are you on Windows 10?

Ok here is my system Yes its 3 monitors, No, its the same GPU for all 3 however I did update my GPU Driver in the last week. I am currently on 381.65 NVIDIA's latest.
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K GPU: Nvidia GTX 970 SSD C:\ RAID 0: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB SSD C:\ RAID 0: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB HDD D:\WD Blue 1TB RAM: G.SKILL RipjawsX DDR3 1600 C9 4x4GB MBD: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition (MS-7922) 3 23in 1080's
What happens is when I remote in via standard MSFT RDC it disconnects monitor 2&3 and when I try to open the launcher it crashes. If I connect via an app where the computer doesn't know its being remotely controlled like logemin client it will still have all 3 monitors available and I can start the launcher no problems. Its when I only have the 1 monitor left in a normal RDC session it will crash. I would like to note I have used this for over a year with no problems until the last 48 hours. I would normally update market orders do some PI etc from my phone/tablet or computer at work.
Here is a snip of the problem occurring during RDC. I had just tried to launch it, it shows up in the taskbar for 4-5 seconds than just disappears. No visible errors but there are some in the event viewer. https://puu.sh/vobAM/ffa7d3a853.png
Here is a snip of it working fine over a logmein session. Please note, if I get launcher up via logmein, I can than RDC fine with no issues from there. But even than if I close the launcher it will not re-open. http://puu.sh/vobPR/bb77b0bef5.jpg
Here are the errors in my event viewer.

Maybe it has nothing to do with the monitors, but can't open launcher over RDC even when I have same amount of monitors being used over RDC.
Every other app works fine, including eve itself. Just the launcher that doesn't launch. |
