I logged in on this site and it sent me one to the emails I had the accounts tied to automatically, I then click a link in the email and it verified the process.
It carried over to game from there. The process was smooth for me, they even indicated what email it was sent to. Most people have issues because they used throw away email accounts they no longer have access to. Something I never allowed to happen. |

Account Management. Find your details (name, email address) and click the "Verify this email address" link in there. If you don't see it, and instead you see a small green checkmark, then your email is already verified. |

In that case you have to open a support ticket with CCP, asking them to switch your email to an email that you can access, so you can then log into account management and do the email verification. Keep in mind that it will take a while as they are quite busy with issues from the expansion. |

CCP put out an ill-thought through and bugged requirement to have an e-mail that somehow verified that your account was valid - they did that by send out an e-mail to the e-mail account .... ie a completely circular check putting undue reliance on out-of-date data that was never intended to be used for this purpose. If either the email account was lost or more importantly their e-mail service blocked your address (eg if you have the word spam in your e-mail address), you couldn't validate an email address (that they already had) nor did you have much chance to realise that you had to do this. Few people validated e-mails before launch so a car crash was imminent and obvious if any aspect of their process was faulty..
CCP then arbritrarily blocked access to your account and all account management functions immediately if you couldn't use the verify link - amusingly meaning you can't even look at or update support tickets saying that there was a bug...
This has now been running for 3 days with not a single comment or response - and no reference to this in their FAQ.
This is more insight than CCP has provided and therefore this topic will get locked imminently. I guess the e-mail verification point was primarily for marketing purposes as it provide no increase in security that i can think of - anyone can open an e-mail address, anyone can share e-mail details and there is no restriction on how many locations you can install eve on.

Guys and Gals
I understand you pain regarding support tickets.
However the problem is that now you have sent a petition CCP needs to verify its you. Have you ensured you have put all information in your ticket.
They will probably ask for name account and dob and will need to match what is on the account management. Unfortunately you probably have an email account from ages ago which you haven't updated. But CCP needs to clarify who you are first before they can change those details and its not just yourself.
Its frustrating but be a bit patient. They have hundreds of these issues to deal with. |

Not a response for 3 days huh?
Funny, this was posted 2 days ago:
https://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/eve-online-news/login-issues-on-november-15-information-and-solutions/?utm_source=launcher_news&utm_medium=launcher&utm_campaign=
And there is a news item on the launcher with the link there as well.
And putting all the blame on CCP here is not really fair either.
I went through the process with 3 accounts in just a minute and had no issue at all.
I don-¦t want to claim that the system is working perfectly as intended as I am not in the position to know where the problems exactly arise, but from what I have been reading so far a lot of people only run into problems because they used throw away emails to register their accounts and never bothered to update to a proper email address. And in these cases instead of crying about it and pointing fingers at ccp they maybe should take a look in the mirror to find the problem.
It-¦s not like having a proper email set for things like password recovery or like in this case in order to be able to recieve verification codes is a new concept. Those methods have now been used all over the internet for years.
I am sure there are cases where things really just went sideways, but if you are one of those people where the system simply just failed, sadly you will need some patience. I am sure ccp is working on it and other than fixing possible own bugs they have to work through petitions and solve account issues of people who are at fault for their problems as well. |
