So, one character per household? What about siblings or spouses who want to play together?
Brilliant idea.

having only 1 account per household is stupid.
That would just about shut down anyone who goes to a internet gaming place to play eve..
stupid idea..
No offence intended

I have 2 accounts and run them on seperate computers .
We do missions and mine together . Have long intimate conversations to while away the hours . Sit here holding hands watching the sun in the system , waiting for it to set in a glorious burst of colour . Occasionally we have arguments but the getting back together is all the sweeter.
I was misdiagnosed as schitzophrenic recently , but I think thats because the psychiatrist has seen my second account and fancies her .

Alts are a major bane of eve. Buying and selling accounts are also bad.
If people had to take responsibility for their actions and the character they have created EVE would be a lot more interesting. Trust would be a lot more possible. Reputation, teamwork, honour and all that would be important.
If you DID have to hire someone to scout for you (not just use a 2day alt) eg.
If you had to live with what you specialised in (industry/combat) not just buy another char that does what you want.
That said eve playerbase might drop from 120,000 to 30,000 or less soooo ;) it'll never happen.
There is a difference between an alt you put a lot of work into and a throwaway scout or scamming alt.
Also, why should people play only 1 character in a game? What if the two characters have no contact in-game, but are off doing different things? -

having alts doesnt mean your playing alone. alot of times i have been on ops off all sorts (mining, pve, pvp) where multiple people bring multiple characters, so you have maybe 3-4 humans (or more) and theres plenty of social interaction, but you also have like 10-15 characters running so your are operating alot more efficiently than if you had just 1 per human.

More important question then the original one: How many meat popsicles play EvE?
Cookie if you catch the reference!
