ITEM: True Sansha EANM x 2 on offered in Yulai for 120Mills ******************************* Email from Lucy Pew******* *******************************
2007.03.16 21:40 Hi there, Noticed you had one of these for sale on contracts, I am very interested and willing to pay 110 mill as a buyout for this now.
However as a trader I try to maximise my efficiency as much as possible, and in contracts where large amounts of isk are involved, the tax penalty incurred is greater.
However If you accept my buyout offer please set up a private escrow adressed to ''Cryo Trade syndicate'' with a low start bid of 10k (also lets me claim out of region, from where I am in syndicate atm) but a buyout of 110m, thus evading any major taxes and letting me trade more efficiently :)
Cryo Trade Syndicate ****************************************
If you do what he/she asks, they will pay minimum bid and you will not be able to delete the contract.
This has already been posted few times, but it is never a bad idea to remind people |

Got the exact same evemail, but from a different char/corp for a Ferox BPO I've got on auction.
It's bad enough that they're all using the same tired old scam, but now they've got a template for it? :p

The truly ridiculous part is of course that THERE ARE NO BLOODY TAXES on a private item exchange contract, just a 10k broker fee. Last time I checked, anyway.

well yeah... but most people are still unsure of the contract system. our ratting specialists use it, if at all, for inner-corp exchanges, so they might regard that a special case... (no, i'll not post my daily "auctions spammed the contract system to death" rant here ^^)
but yeah, got a few mails from lucy - seems to work down the contract list
it just has to work once a day for 100mil and i'd consider it "fruitful" just copy and paste, some editing and off we go...
and then there was this guy in general discussion who sold off his t2 bpo this way.

There was a thread a few weeks ago where someone had received this kind of scam attempt for a Tempest BPO. Start price was requested to be 100m.
Seller put a 1-run Tempest BPC up for 100m, buyout of the originally-agreed price. The scammer was in such a hurry to complete that they didn't check and paid 100m for a BPC. __________ The opinion(s) expressed above are mine alone and are not necessarily endorsed or supported by my Corporation. |
