Hello
Now i'd like to propose a corporation strike system. The reason for this is simple, to many players join this game, are recruited by corporations who promise the world and never deliver.
So I am proposing a strike system.
Idea
When a corporation is made it should have an option such as "What is the corporations goals" With tick boxes i.e
1. Industry 2. PvP 3. Wormholes 4. Null Sec 5. Private corporation/invite only i.e there is no "apply to join" - People have to be sent invites
Etc
When a player is recruited into a corporation, that player should have to "tick" the box i.e "What was offered to make you decide on this corp"
If a player ticks "PvP" but the corp is never involved in any "Offensive" PvP i.e roams etc. After a period of a week, if say 5 people are recruited with the promise of PvP and the corp does not in fact take part in PvP they should be given automatic strikes.
So if a corporation recruits 10 players and all have ticked "pvp opportunities" and the corporation does not do any pvp within a week of the players joining. It should receive three strikes. Once a corporation hits three strikes, it should be banned from accepting new applications for the term of three weeks.
The idea behind this is that to many corps offer what they have no intention of delivering at all just to increase numbers and take full advantage of new players. So my idea is that if a corporation receives three strikes, three times, it should be automatically disbanded by concord.
I think this, will keep CEOS honest and lead to more focused corps and recruiting people to just to inflame numbers, would benefit new players more.
Now obviously this would need to be tweaked, but, this is just my idea to stop people from recruiting players and making them lose interest in eve online

Or the players could leave and join a new corp, which seems like a much harsher penalty.

Because people never have weeks off, weeks recovering from some bad PvP losses, and EVE players would never abuse this to troll the CEO's.
Rule 1 of EVE. Don't think about what happens when your idea works in an ideal world, think about what happens when someone manipulates it to be as much of a douche as humanly possible (& then some) |

No.
Just kill them all. Join them, analyse them, rip them apart from the inside.

-1 My corp actively discourages high sec PvP that is not what we formed this corp for. Players who apply are told that in a mail after they apply and they must respond back that they are aware of that and agree not to PvP in high sec before we will accept them. Despite this warning we still get players who spend all their time complaining about no PvP in high sec. With your idea those people could rate my corp very poorly and it would all be caused by their own stupidity of joining a corp that does not what they want..
So you all know, the answer is no we do not discourage PvP entirely just the high sec variant of it. However if they are attacked and chose to fight back that is all good because defending yourself. If they want to go roam low, nul and worm holes looking for fights that is all good as well. It is the ganking and high sec war dec aspects of the game that we actively discourage.

Sounds like someone got scammed. Now you've posted something like this, you'd better hope there wasn't any kind of api verification or it may cost you your current names and a portion of SP, if you have had a bad situation with your current corp.
Possibly this is a lazy way of disbanding larger corporations and taking down very large groups. The idea that 10 nobodies ticking checkboxes can destroy a corporation is quite rediculous, and the abuse of such a system is obvious.
10 spies, the corp dies. There's also the type of corp structure to be taken into account. Some corps are controlled by shares. Some are dictatorships. Some are... well this idea is just a lazy way of backstabbing without any real effort, script, charisma, roles or shares. I can list 10 groups of the top of my head that would use this to crush competition because lack of killboard padding, of just because they can and it makes for funny stories on reddit.
I would never do this of course, and neither would any of my alts.
Get some Eve. Make it yours.

Corporation Strike better be an awesome sequel to the Desert Strike/Jungle Strike/Urban Strike, Soviet Strike/Nuclear Strike series, or I'm going to be pissed.
Let's discuss overhauling the way we get intel in EvE.

No we shouldn't try to force corps to define themselves by our own rules. A corp can have a lull in some activities because of hard times or reasons we can't even think of. Also, how do you stop abuse of this idea? A ceo that promises pvp can simply shoot his alt and the game is none the wiser.
I appreciate many corps lie about what they offer and it sucks, but this idea is un-workable. In future do research on the corps you are thinking of joining. Fly with them a couple times before you join and if they don't deliver, punish them if you want or just leave.

The "3-strike-system" IRL (Like in the US, i think you refer to this) is a bad idea and really doesn't have to be imported to Eve. My oppinion. |

Damn, you are quick.
I wanted to propose the same thing, by telling him to talk to potential corpmates before they join them and see how they tick and if they ride on the same wavelength.
Eve Minions is recruiting. Learn from about pvp, learn about ships and how to fly them correctly. Small gang and solo action in high, low and nullsec and w-space alike.
We will teach you everything you need and want to know.

I love how you think this has anything to do with me.
I was simply suggesting an idea, I do not PvP on this char, I do on my main char which I stream to twitch daily on.
My other char is currently building a corp for the exact purpose of PvP
This char is a null sec exploration toon for making videos or twitch streaming
Define your answers before being personally insulting or elitist. Because it is unnecessary. |

"don't be elitist"
"listen to me because I stream PvP on twitch every day and build PvP corps"

Basically...don't like your home, leave and find a better one.
Want to be more proactive? On the corp forums/TS corp meetings air grievances out. Corp leadership says yes, we see your point, and works to change discrepancies...good job on your part. Who knows...one day you could be the new CEO and this your foot in the door.
Corp leadership doesn't care....find a new home really. Or find something else to stay in it and be happy. Been in 1 or 2 places the leadership was just aggravating as hell. But the rest of the people in the joint cool as hell. It was them I stayed for, cool cats to hang out with and we just dealt with the management's mood swings as needed. |
