In my over 18 months of playing eve, this patch is the best patch I have ever seen.
Don't rollback. |

well, i rather like the new patch. I've mined omber in 0.5 and higher systems quite nicely, i can fit 5 miner2s on my thorax, and those few who can't pop into a system, pop 5K+ of pirates in the first ten seconds...well, thems the brakes, ain't they? :) carping about losing your ship in the lower bowls of the galaxy whe nyou know full well you can get stomped out there smacks of a certain frivolity. and last but not least, yes, my spelling sucks, and if you throw fruit at me for this post, atleast make it fresh fruit, so i can have something to eat, while i try to compete with megacorps with enough people to crew a death star :) There is no cow! |

Edited by: dutchfreak on 29/12/2003 16:26:09 erm about the high Mega price? i just bought some at 17.5k a piece... dunno who said it was gonna rise, but you are still looking at a market based on ask and bid, people WONT buy at 100k, so it wont be sold at that price...
ps, i agree with zhor pps, dont roll back :) ------------------------ Remember, my child: Without innocence the cross is only iron, hope is only an illusion & Ocean Soul's nothing but a name...

Dutch, that 17.5k per mega unit is still 5.5k higher than before patch. Most corps and individuals have not completely killed off their stores of mega. You will see a spike in mega prices due to the extreme difficulty in getting any soon. Right now its a price war of people that understand they can sell at a higher than pre-patch price, but don't realize how far it will go up after the large stores of the mineral are gone.
Its just like helium right now in real life. Scientists have researched and discovered we will run out at our current use of helium about 2010. Since you cannot make helium and it can only just be found, once it is gone its gone for good. Its real expensive in large amounts right now. But soon it will be so rare it will be unbelievably expensive and only used by people that have to have it. So understandably, soon you will no longer see helium balloons at birthday parties. |

i know a few people who are quiting because of the castor patch. i personally think it was the best thing for eve, i didn't agree on some of the things, and have not generally gained from the patch, i just think it has added much needed game play to the game.

Since the castor patch I've become richer than I've ever been.
... and no.. I am not a pirate either!
I'm a miner/production player.
If you are willing to take the risk then this game is now the best it's ever been. -------------------------------------------
