Our comms was basicly people listing where they were in the queue ranging from 100-300+ many stating estimated times of 50+mins. Our intel reports for first few people in stated there was 5-10 hostiles and about 20 or so friendlies in system.

dear tin foil hatter, lets examine what you said, BoB had many more people in a system near by, then the node crashed.
Well explanation, the next door system wasnt necessarily on the same node, so that gang of BoB could have jumped through as soon as the node came back up. It is far quicker to jump through a gate then log back in.
Anyone remember JV1V and goons? the exact same thing happened there to allow the Goons to walk straight past LV's gate camp.
How quickly the coalition forgets!
Oh yeah and BoB are HaxoRs!!! (/me puts on tin foil hat)
but seriously why dont you think for 2 seconds before making a stupid post?

Anyone with a modicum of common sense and the ability to reason logically will see that the game queue system works the same for absolutely everyone.
Also, if you had any logical reasoning at all, you would take into account exactly how many node crashes BoB/MC have experienced in various wars and compare them against Team NAP, and then you might get a sense that maybe one side has slightly more experience dealing with them.
Call it hax if you want, but exactly how many large sized fleet battles have Hydra Alliance participated in before this one?

Do you mean having a second client open and logging in the instant the node reboots, so you get in first?
I doubt very much that he means that, we all used to do this, and cleared machonet folder etc. and none of it ever made the slightest bit of difference to log in times - try looking up 101 different threads on the same topic from the bob/ascn war and the same thing used to happen over and over again.
Coalition you better get used to this sort of thing as time goes on

That's not news.
That answer is simpliy wrong and not logical we have pilots doing the exact same thing. The instant the server wen up we got "not accepting logins". Another question how did a large bubble get anchored on the gate, In the time it took us to get one pilot logged in. No it was not up when the system crashed...that bubble was destroyed. So again all I ask for is explanations...Logical ones that make sense.

Set your client not to reboot after crash so it just closes and have a 2nd client all ready to go .... node goes live hit connect.... Thats all there is to it.

Edited by: Goberth Ludwig on 04/03/2007 22:59:53 Same happened during the ascn/bob war, but rest of eve dismissed it as "ahr ahr noobs". Glad you get to share the fun now, enjoy =p
P.S.: Btw it happens because you arent as much as a tight knit as bob and your people are too scared to log back in right away blah blah.
edit: to the smart folks out there about the second client instance opened - it doesnt help

Open EVE client.
Enter user name and password.
Click "connect".
Select Character.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Took me more than 5 minutes to load. Your people might have closed their clients to try again. That does only make things worse.
Or you can try this:
EVE -queue no -hax yes -gm_power 2 -nodecontrol 1 -

3 possibilities
1/ they have some sort of knowledge of how to get on faster you don't
2/ your pilots were lazy and weren't on the ball as they went to the fridge for a beer :p
3/ your just plain wrong and pilots logged on and decided to jump out rather than stay for BoB to log on knowledge is power.... guard it well |
