I recently saw a significant slowdown in my computer, with websites loading slower and eve lagging more. I pulled up the windows Task Manager to see what was using all the flops, and it seems to be Eve's executable.
Eve's executable, exefile.exe, is constantly running and taking about 10% of the cpu. I'm running a fairly new PC with Windows 7. What's going on?

There is a known bug with the new launcher, where it uses way too much CPU. |

Ok. Shutting down the launcher, after launch, seems to have helped... |

As a workaround, clicking the animated refresh icon in the upper right corner of the browser will resolve this issue.

ive been having the same problem on an i7. ive hit as much as 50% cpu use. Ive never hit 50% cpu use in anything on this processor. most taxing its done is hit 13% and that was due to a bad memory leak in flash player. |
