Ok....I'm on the waiting list for an incredibly overpriced (but equally as cool) Apple iPhone (supposed to get it by the end of June or so). With it's "true" internet access/web browsing, is it possible the (someday soon) I would be able to access the in-station features of my EVE account(s)- i.e. change skill training, place market orders, etc. online?
Essentially, a web interface for anything I can do in-station (with exception of ship fitting, etc.)

I believe I read something about that. Can't remember where. Some third party site had an interview with some CCP guy that said something about skills, market order adjustments etc etc on some mini-app or website or something. Would be cool.

Congratulations, you're on the waiting list to buy a cool looking non-smart phone.
Java aint on the iPhone so there's no easy way in there, the API's are proprietry, and, so far Apple don't seem to be overly keen to make them very public. Indeed, currently apple are saying 'no third party apps on the iPhone'.
If you buy an iPhone, (and they are cool), you've gotta know that the only third-party type stuff you see for a fair while will be those wierd scripted widget things.
Java for phones is easy to program for. PocketPC style phones are easy to program for (It's really not much different to normal windows programming)
If CCP release something non-web based for the phones it would be Java or PocketPC esque, which will exclude the iPhone I'm afraid.

Yeah...I KNOW it's not a "smart phone"....it's just a cool video ipod with a phone built in. That's why I wan't a "web based" interface.

Yeah, but rugnabit,
they came soooo close :)
On the flipside, if you could change skills via the web, eg, at work. I'd never get any skills finished.

EVE-Lite is what was being proposed by CCP a while ago, and they were specifically mentioning it running on Windows mobile enabled phones.
I haven't seen any mention of it in a while though, prob on the back burner due to Kali.
