Well, I have 1 major gripe with EvE. (everything else is pretty minor and not really worth posting over) That is the excessive time it takes to travel anywhere. I realize that something needed to be done to address the pvp problems that are evident in the current game mechanics, however the solution I've just experienced in chaos is not the answer. I don't want to sound like the many idiots I've seen post here with alot of bluster about how I'm canceling my account, but the truth is that this may well be the proverbial "nail in the coffin" for me. You've taken Eve's greatest problem and compounded it 10 fold. The "new" method of warping coupled with the nerf of micro-warp drives is just too much to take. Where I used to be able to travel 50 jumps in 25-30 mins (if I outfitted my ship specifically for travel) now it seems that I will have to spend an hour (maybe more) traveling. I beg you to reconsider this; you've proportionally reduced the already meager amount of "fun" in the game with the introduction of more complete boredom (aka traveling in EvE). I don't think I can take it... sincerely,

Wow, what a perfectly assinine response. I'll answer anyway; yes. If I wanted "real" I wouldn't be playing a video game. What I want is "fun".

Too real? That's such a stupid thing to say when you really think about it..
If they had a PvP issue with MWDs and ABs.. They could of simply made using MWDs with turrets non freezable. Like if you activate a Turret, you can not activate the MWD for 60sec.. Or if you activate the MWD, you can not activate a turret for 60 secs.
That way they wouldn't have screwed up travel times..
You can sit there and say it's more real all you want.. All I know is that it takes 20 minutes on TQ to travel 35 jumps with a MWD.. And on chaos (adjusting for the obvious lag) it takes 20 minutes to travel about 10(modest) jumps.
Note that WITH the obvious lag it actually took me 40 minutes to travel 3 jumps.

Think someone did a test, 48 minutes for a bship with no +speed gear for 10 jumps... Is there really anyone that likes these changes anyway? Pirates dont, Pirate-hunters dont, Indy-pilots dont, Miners dont, who do? As I have experienced it.. +90% dont like these changes, why do they keep going for them! =((((( __________________________________________________________ |

I don't see any kind of major long term change, the only thing it really effects is that I can't have an all in one ship anymore, I fit it for travel, fit it for battle, or fit it for mining. You can't really have all in one now. Doesn't bother me at all, just toss what I'm going to use once I get to my destination in the cargo hold or deactivate it, and I'm set. Two cruiser MWDs though will now pretty much take all of your powergrid. ------------------

Alltough the mwd`s needed a real nerfing, this coupled with the new travell system is too much. Even tough you can call mee a power gamer its higly unlikely i would stick with a traveling Sim. I have railroad tychoon for that
Im bored stiff with this game and my hopes whas that the castor patch could spice things up again. But i cant c that happening with the latest nerfs. -------------------------------------------------> What I look forward to is continued immaturity followed by death.

Just one line:
CCP can prepare for a huge drop in players (ie: loose much income in $$ ÇÇ), when implementing the non-empire-BS-mining, JIP feature, change in mwd's and afterburners with the implementation of the patch this Monday! |

Just out of curiosity.
Has anybody seen any of the devs/BH/polaris or whatever actually responding to the numerous amounts of "Bad idea !" posts on this forum.
IMHO we are just wasting our time testing stuff, reporting opinions, findings etc since they WILL NOT be listened to.
Then on the other hand there is something that makes me ******* mad. I did read the CSM chat (or whatever it's called) and TomB (or another dev) talked to corporations on TQ about the Blueprint grandfathering (unlimited to max build conversion) and there was something along the lines that "they agreed" on it.
Who the hell gives them MegaHugeAbleToInfluenceGameMechanicsSpeakForFew corporations the right to do so ? Why are they asked and not me (Proud owner of unlimited BPC's) ?
I am a loyal player, invest much time into the game trying to make some ISK and then some CEO of some MegaCheatingExploitingGameMechanicsAbusing Corp that has all the cash, rare items and doesn't need to worry bout anything since they can BUY everything they want at any given time is asked for his opinion and it's actually taking into consideration ?

stop whining about the unlimited bpc they should have given you the money invested in them back by now and if you only use it to build to your own corp members it shouldent be any diffrence except that you will need to buy a new bp later.. and in the 3 months or so you should have mined in money or traded or something to buy an original... bpc are bad.. they should have had been made limited from the start

Umm just a quick question - I've probably missed another (dozen) threads explaining exactly what the AB/MWD 'nerf' is.... but could someone state it here please!?!
I've not been able to log on to Chaos for a month or so now because of some stupid graphical-type bug so don't know what's happening any longer

You missed the point there.
I am not questioning the decission to nerf them ... I am questioning the way CCP did come up with the solution.

It's pretty simple, it now takes much more power to go far slower... that coupled with the new gate mechanics (you warp 20km from every gate and have to approach within approximately 2.5 km to jump and then when you come out of the jump you have to move to 20km away from the gate you are now by before you can warp to the next gate just to repeat the whole process)

I have a lot of complaints right now about changes that are about to happen with Castor comming out soon. But the most glaring one of them is about the MAJOR MWD/AB nerf going on. This is the single change that will probably make me take a vacation from the game until it is fixed. Please think about what you are doing before you do it long and hard. --Missa New Siggy to Come Soon(tm) |

Blah blah blah... Only use battleships when needed.. I don't know where you live and work. But I need my battleship just about always. And after next patch I will need it indefinitely. There's no sense traveling 40 jumps out from any station in a cruiser. Specially when an NPC battleship may spawn right on top of you. |

you live in a dreamworld RONA person:
The other problem with MWDs is the Stain Allaince and CC people who use 2 at once and therefore are invincible.
Invincible travel is wrong.
Blame them

The real problem is that all of the MWD in game at this time will only be fit for mounting on a frigate!. If u want another mwd for your crusier, guess what its tech 2 and u have to build it, Oh wait, You cant coz it takes Morphite, And u can't mine that without the skill and the laser that takes morphite as well. And if thats not enough unless they have changed it the laser takes 1500 cpu. Only an iteron MK5 has that much cpu.
Some one at CCP really needs to have his IQ checked for this nerf.

Haha that made me laugh. If that's true that's a classic. I'm pretty sure they couldn't be that stupid

I just wanted to ask a simple question. With the actions of the CCP nerfing the AB's,MWD, and the JIP delay, how will this effect the timeline set for mission directed by the agents. Has CCP taken in account that a lot members won't be able to meet the normal deadline not to mention the time bonus...
