As many know, events following the death/assassination/execution/murder/whatever of Karishal Muritor have brought the Republic to the brink of civil war. Some have called for the death of Karin Midular. Others say new elections are needed.
While I may be a Caldari by birth, I am Minmatar by citizenship. I therefore inform the leaders of the Republic:
I have no confidence in you.
While Muritor's actions were questionable, his death at your hands was the trigger for the current crisis. Your silence for a week allowed strong feelings to brew. And your recent press release has only aggravated the sitation more. Even though you may have meant it for the best, your actions have brought us to the brink of civil war!
I no longer believe that you are fit to lead the Republic. I call upon you to resign, or at least hold new elections to allow the people to make their decision.
Nachshon
P.S. I know my position may be at odds with that of my superiors. For this reason, I have not affixed my corp or alliance after my name. If you disagree, do not sign.

Signed (for what it's worth from me). New elections are needed.
You excercise courage in parting ideological company with your peers, Nachshon. Sometimes one must walk their own path alone, and fear of that loneliness can sometimes halt the journey. But if you do not go with what you know is right in your heart, you become nothing worth knowing, in the mirror or otherwise.

Though I bet that my CEO, Rocius, will probably sign. My comments were mainly directed at Elsebeth, whose position differs from mine slightly.

I sign this petition, and not just on my behalf but on behalf of the second Shakor Clan of Matar. I have discussed this at great length via FTL comms with my clan elders and family heads. We are in agreement on the issue of no confidence and the demand for ellections following the imediate resignation of Karin Midular and Admiral Kanth Filmir. ------

I must say I can only laugh at this petition.
This petition is signed mostly by UK, those who turned their backs on their Republic to go and fight against the policys of the Republic. And now that The Republic has done something they dont like they are crying, whinging and moaning, demanding a new government. To me it seems to me that you forefitted all rights to the Republic when you left it. Those who work within the Republic and sign this I can understand, but you...I just laugh.
Stop crying because you cant have your cake and eat it too.

A petition currently signed mostly by U'K and started by a member of NMTZ... could it be we're beginning to agree now that we have guaranteed proof of the governments involvement in this action? Could it be that all the possible dissension you would just love to see is just fading away now as we begin to come to a unified position... I'm sure that Amarrians would just love it if we were to all agree together because then we might just end up with someone in charge who isn't your puppet.

I left the Republic because I felt they were not doing enough to stop the danger of an ever encroaching Amarrian empire. At no time did I renounce the possibility of returning to the fold if the duly elected government were to change their policy.
To sign this petition is to state my desire for the Republic to awake from its slumber and fully realize the danger of the Empire to all Matari.
We will fight the slavers wherever we may find them. If the Republic will do the same than our task becomes easier and all of our people will taste freedom sooner.

No, I believe you are deliberatly missing my point. I accepted the validity of NMTZ claim to this petition. I deny yours. Do you honestly think any Amarrian cares who runs the Republic, if its someone who wants peace, great! if its someone who wants more, it is merely another target to shoot. What matters if that you want a Republic leader who is your puppet. You cannot accept the Republic is openly acting in opposition to what it is that you desire, despite you already openly acting into opposition to what they desire. You are hypocritical, and I say those that who dont want a Republic controlled by terrorists and those who believe in what they think is best for them, to think before you sign this petition, is this is what you want, is it whats best for your people. I ask Ushrakhan not to bother signing because you have long since relinquished your claim to anything to do with the Republic, probably most recently by bountying its head.

For once I find myself in agreement with Minmatar terrorists.
The sooner Midular resigns and is replaced by an Amarrian viceroy, the better.

Oh and here we have a point we have been trying to show all along. Ushrakhan, you claim that this is in opposition to the act of the prime minister...but no, This proves it...you want a government that will goto war with the Amarr Empire. Ask yourselves...is this what is best for the Republic, bloody war, millions of deaths and broken dreams...or is this is what is best for terrorists, and those who already have chosen this path, because they enjoy it. Ushrakahn, all you do here is call for the deaths of your own people, so that you may attack those who you already do. Let the Republic be the Republic, and hell let the Empire be the Empire. Do not interfere with mere hundreds with those that protects millions, billions!

Edited by: Darius Shakor on 09/02/2007 20:12:50 In a reluctant affort to humour you Amarrians, let me try to enducate you. You are open to actually learning other peoples ways aren't you? You don't always have to enslave people and change them do you? Trust me it is painless.
We do have a right to have a say in the Republic. Why? Because despite not seeing ourselves as members of the Republic anymore we are still Minmatar. We care about what affects our people and that care crosses all official and unofficial bounderies. The Republic under the helm of Karin Miduar is a harm to the billions if Matari in the Republic in our eyes. If you don't understand that then fair enough, but that one thing alone makes all your points meaningless.
Now, if you please, get lost and start a new thread if you feel so strongly about it. This is for petition signers only.
Ohh and Ikar, you waited a whole hour or so before resorting to pointing out that only a hand full of people have posted so far... bravo... Was that a basic course in Amarrian Propoganda school or something? ------

in response to the slavers unwanted comment in this broadcast: the UK was once a republic inside organisation, stabelizing and defending its regions against piracy and outside agressors, in cooperation with the fleet and the security service and independant. due to our work some constelations in moldenheath and metropolis and heimatar where reclaimed by civilians under the guarding forces of the uk witch where formerly too hostile to be used at all. i point on istodart and amamake. while beeing successfull against the piracy the steadily growing agresion by the amarr empire, slave traders and amarr paramilitary forces we decided to relocate to the amamake area to intercept intrusions directly at the borders and to try to move the fightings into amarr regions to protect our homelands. at this point the republic started to put pressure on us to stop the policity of forward defense as they feared a escalation of the conflict to a war between amarr and minmatar republic. to continue our necesary work without escalating the tensions between us and the republic, Ushrakhan decided to relocate to north providence, a region witch where suffereing under a amarr invasion executed by the spearhead imperialists of the CVA alliance in the name of the empire. since than the amarr invasion came to a halt and we managed to secure the freedom and independance in markable parts of providence. maintaining a balance of power there atm. besides this afford we still work on intercepting amarr forces heading towards minmatar space, bevore they arrive at the borders,in the amar regions bordering to the republic, with mixed success. we still think that fighting the agressors inside there lands is recomended to protect the minmatar homelands and citicens from colateral dammage. we are not as successfull as we would like to, as the frequent amarr paramilitary presence in republic constellations show.
we left our home, settled in lawless space to continue our protective work without the colateral dammage a defending war inside the populated areas of the republic would cause and because of the will of the misleaded republic gouverment. u can accuse us of refusing to follow the word of the republic gouverment. but abandoning the minmatar ppl living there?? no way
